I didn't say they couldn't last. If you skimp on maintenance and/or if you are payingnothers to maintain/repair, they can get expensive fast.I’ve owned 6 of them - all but one had over 200k. At least 2 hit 300.

My knowledge of the German motorcycle market is very limited…
Some people say the BMW Motorrad F-series parallel twins are a bit boring, so you might end up with something similar to your former Hondas.
I think you're right. The 650 VSTROM/VERSYS are at the top of the list.Just broken in but light in details.
2020 BMW F900XR
Buddy who is off looping Australia for the coming months says the Tiger triple he is riding is best bike he's owned. FWIW
The BMW might be tall for you Mimico. I did not like the ergos on my 2017 300G ...or the clutch. 32.5 " seat
Not great fuel mileage and a 15.5L tank size
I'd take a 650 Vstrom over that 900. Vstrom has a 20L or 22L tank.

'Buddy's 2017 F800 has 152000km on it.
After a recent $5800 go-over by by the dealer its probably good for another 152000km.
'The front rotors were $1000 alone.
