Did you exercise today?

Removed a 25 cabinet kitchen solo, loadedit into a truck then unloaded into my garage.

It was 38c inside the house, I lost 5lbs today - Im hoping it's hiding in my beer fridge.

Hubby has lost 6 lbs since July 1 and I've lost 4...we are biking, walking and swimming
That's a really nice pace. Crash diets are disasters in the long term.

I know a couple of people that did diets with injections and they had problems. Lose weight too fast and your body goes into survival mode, learning how to live on incredibly low calorie counts and it never resets. Consider a 350 pound person being restricted to 1100 calories a day, a fast-food burger combo.

The slower approach also helps by breaking bad habits.

This could also go in the cycling thread, but in the context of exercise. Anyone interested in some casual group bicycle rides on the recreational trails in Etobicoke and/or East Mississauga? I have been too busy lately to get a lot of cycling time in and I need to get back into it.

Not looking for a TdF wannabe ride. MTBs, hybrids, whatever. Maybe start with 15 to 20 km rides. Casual pace (sub 20kph), stops along the way. No one left behind... just some motivation to get out of the house.

Humber, Lakeshore, Etobicoke Creek to the Airport, or etc.

??

That's an awesome idea! I'd love to, but knowing reality there's a very small chance I can join. But please keep me posted if anything develops.

I'm just starting to explore the area. My starter loop covers Bloordale Park to Centennial and across into Mississauga. Very little road, mostly bikers, hikers and dog walkers. And for a treat today, a parrot walker.

After years of neglect, I'm trying to get my "C" legs back so interested.
