Thought I’d seen it but apparently not. Excellent small movie on true events and the difficulties in one of the smaller nations caught up in WWII

I knew nothing about 1883. Since I was struggling with Yellowstone series Red'it recommended this first. Great cast and good reviews.
🍿

That was quick to grab me - I think I started it a while back
Keep getting flashes of stuff I saw butt really enjoying it.

It was a great series. I think you will enjoy it.

I am.(y) Some good riders in the show including the leads.
Sam Eliot is terrific. The series was not perfect but very engaging.
If Yosemite was as good as the prequel I'd be seriously hooked.
On to 1923 which I've seen but the two leads are well worth a second round.

Mirren and Ford ...what brilliant casting. 🍿 and the feed is very good.
Occasionally slides into schmaltz but sometimes that's okay.
Don't have a good feed for Season 2 but coping at 100p

Last episode ever of "Resident Alien" tonight, as it got cancelled. That really sucks as I've really been enjoying it, and I was hoping for a 5 season arc. Tudyk is a bloody comedy genius and deserves an ongoing show. I really need to hunt down season 2 of his webseries "Com Man" as I was a backer for season 1, but season 2 went directly to a streaming channel. It was on Amazon US for a short while and I missed it.

Looks okay and excellent reviews
9 seasons too
Not doing a lot for me and Meghan Markle is just "okay" as an actress.
Might watch the Crown again.
Will try this
might go back to this based on true events and good reviews but leaving for now to watch The Crown

Some of my earliest memories are from Eliz coming to Canada.
Really think the cast is excellent especially Matt Smith as Philip but the cast overall is top notch....Lithgow a good Churchill.
Quite soft production ...perhaps suitable to the content/period.
Waiting out my riding prohibition and it's rainy.
Forgotten how good the first season is. Also forgot some of the history shown - of course Philips love of flying is close to my heart. So very well cast. Good stuff on a rainy day.
Forgotten how good this is. Foy is terrific.
Matt Smith is showing superb acting.
There was a poll taken recently asking which were the best seasons and Season 1 got 62% of the votes and Season 2 a very respectable second place at 24%

Might bail after this season but the Diana actor was superb too.

On Season 2 and think I might not have seen it as don't recall some of the info provided. Enjoying it.

Season 3 big change of cast and mostly not for the better.
Philip is well cast tho not as good as Smith, the queen so so, Foy was brilliant. Princess Margaret cast in first two seasons

much better than BonHam Carter who I generally like but too jaded in this role.
Will give it a couple of episodes before chasing something else. If not for Diana upcoming I'd bail now. 🍿
The Aberfan episode was very intense.

I detest the Thatcher actor almost as much as the historical person. can hardly stand to watch her on the screen and listening is painful.

27 Nov 2020 — Anderson plays Thatcher with such close attention to her mode of being that it's like seeing the corpse of the baddie reanimated, long after the movie finished.

Hang dog Charles is hard to watch as well. ugh - how dysfunctional. Might skip to Diana.
Good with the horrid ...Diana starts in the episode I'm watching....did not remember she was the younger daughter and quite cute in the pixie outfit. Far cuter in real life tho

Charles is likely correctly portrayed as damaged goods.....and he is the king...ugh.
Casting for young Diana is just a treat...catches the magnetism
....for Thatcher she make me shudder tho here actual look was not so appalling as in the series

and for Charles sad. Camilla well portrayed and Anne especially given the years spanned.

Season 5 - really enjoyed the younger Diana depiction...the new Diana is brilliant but just too tall.
Imelda as HRH is good but still annoyed by here. Pryce as Phillip is a very good choice. Charles actor just too glamorous...Charles is/was an ass.
Dodi and dad etc are well done and did not know he funded/worked in Chariots of Fire which blew me away when it won the Best Picture.
Did not know he refurbed the exiled king's abode in France.

They did a great job casting the princes after Diana's death which was also well done IMNSHO.
William really cast a heart throb and the kind of charisma Diana had. Getting toward the end and quite enjoyed the series. Not sure what to binge next.
Coming to the end of the series...they nailed Kate and two princes.
Foy was incredible as a teen Liz. - Tony Blair well cast (y)

"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" season 3, episode 7. Does anyone know who races a Honda CX500 or CX650 with the amateur plate 84? They film in Mississauga, so it was likely a local loaner for the episode. Shows up in Ortiz's room. Just curious, as I can't ever remember seeing that particular bike on the track ;)

Best SciFi series ever....gonna buy the Blu Ray ...don't think it needs the 4k.
$46 for the complete set.

so far, so good!

Rewatched "Jupiter's Legacy" on Netflix. Good stuff and it deserved a second season, if only to continue with the origin story.

But man, did they ever do Anna Akana dirty. Girl can't catch a real break, even after having a cameo in "Ant Man."
