This weather

I heard similar from a Goldwing rider. He said around 115-120 on the highway away from the city and you are in a zone. Not worrying about intersections, stop signs, hidden country driveways. Your bike needs that open road. Heck we all do.

Yep. All depends on what you need that day.

Sometimes you just need the wind and the sound and the vibration and the speed.

Sometimes you just need the trees and the ground and the being far from people.

You don't put gauze on a headache and you don't put advil on an open wound. Different cures for different ailments.

Highway.... Interstate.... Boring.

Yeah, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Different strokes for different folks.

Don’t get me wrong, if I am on a destination ride, i.e. Tail of the Dragon or the Cherohala or something like last year‘s West Virginia adventure, I absolutely enjoy the **** out of the roads while I’m there.

But I also really enjoy the slab zen zone on the to and from.

Anyhow, back to the weather. Is it just me or as every day that it hasn’t rained in the last two months being windy instead? I thought about going out for a ride yesterday but a buddy texted and said that he was getting blown all over the road and it was not enjoyable. Today isn’t a whole lot better, not to mention the temperatures. I’m trying to sit in the backyard around the pool to make the best of it and even with the heaters going under my gazebo it’s still not super Duper awesome out here.

And after 2 days of cloud, cold, and wind that has been the weekend thus far, oh, look at Monday again - nice and sunny and a pleasant 22 degrees. 😠

It’s now June 1st, so I feel we can all legitimately complain now lol.

So for those that didn’t know , when the weather forcast says forty percent chance of rain means forty percent chance in your geographic zone they track , maybe not where your standing . So if you track radar on your phone you can sometimes ride around the showers . And often you just get wet anyway .

I always figure 40% chance of rain is 60% chance of sun.

It's cool out but the sun is shining. I think I'm riding today.....

Completely overcast and windy in my hood. Windy to the point that it’s knocking leaves off our maple into the pool.

I might go out for a putter somewhere, but I suspect it’s not going to be super duper enjoyable.

<goes outside and yells at clouds>

It was windy today and as I get to the sunny part I’m getting rained on. Only 5 minutes though, weird. Once you get going ot is good. I took my heated gear but didn’t use it. Nice to be out though. Lucky a couple of radars already had customers.
