This weather

Looking at Lake Ontario this morning and it’s just rocking from three days of east wind . Nothing good ever comes out of the east . This time of year it should be west breeze , every thing is backwards .

Nahhh, too bloody cold. But if I did stay in Canada, I would definitely move to Alberta if I had the energy to start all over again.
You must not have clicked on the link!
Give me -30 with a bright blue sky and no wind anyday over -2 cloudy and damp.
I grew up in Prince Edward County and can not remember the weather this blah!!!
Of course the past of our youth is always better than reality.

I just did and saw some "sunny icons"; what a concept! On another forum I am on there is a rider posting riding pics of Alberta, yup blue sky from horizon to horizon.

That is true, a -30C and dry day is better than a -2 and cloudy and damp day, but at my point in life, I'd sooner see 28C half of the season and 20C the other half of the season. The Gold Coast is the perfect location in Oz. Hell, even the time I was in Cairns at 39C and rain was better than needing to have my furnace going at the end of May over here. Hell even during my 4 to 6 weeks touring the Alps, the weather was far better.

Went by the bridge to PEI (Cape Tormentine) years ago. Reasonable weather most of my tour (August) but it rained and heavily overcast in Newfoundland. It was 9C in August at Flowers Cove, NFLD.

I drove by there many years ago while going through Mandello del Lario, Italy...(Google pic)

When I got a job as an apprentice machinist I asked my father to keep an eye out if a property he used to own at Green Point ever became available that I wanted to buy it.
His reply was to ask why I wanted such a dumpy little house.
It came with about 500 feet of prime waterfront.
The house has been torn down and a 3000 square foot brick cottage now sits down by the water.
2 Porsche in the driveway and a 30ft sailboat moored offshore.
I should have followed that up more myself but I was too busy pissing away my money on motorcycles.

Planned on being there for the 100 year birthday party.
Had my plane tickets to Paris for my V7iii Milano and myself.
Then COVID happened.

At one time I had all my papers in order to move to New Zealand but took a job in Grande Prairie Alberta instead.
Made it to the North Island for a month with my Kiwi better half a number of years latter.
Please Lord!!! grant me a "Do-over"

Unfortunately it was as there is a bias from a moderator on this forum, something I have zero use for.

About two weeks ago, I got a PM reply from one of the members warning me that I would be banned (wow, what a loss that would be) because the person with power (he did not mention who) does not see things the way I saw them. I thought we live in a free country. If forum members can sh*t on Trump, I can sh*t on Trudeau and Carney. Of course the GTA is packed with Liberals, so what do you expect.
GTAM has it's own set of rules that you agreed to.

I was told by my Aussie friends to apply to New Zealand and then you can automatically move to Australia. Moving to New Zealand has become very difficult now if you go to their government web site and enter the info to see if you qualify.

If you are young and work in a position they are looking for, much less of an issue both for NZ and Oz. I am trying to get my ex PM to become the immigration minister of Oz as he let everybody in. :ROFLMAO:

When you have been somewhere often enough, you see how well they do things, or not do things well at all. Oz is far more advanced in many aspects compared to Canada. Old age homes/care facilities where their system is light years ahead of ours, the Gold Coast hospital my girlfriend just went to in emergency was in and out in under 3 hours and then had a procedure the next day without waiting months.

Little did I know they was located there. As you already know, the 1000 Daytona and 1100 Sport of the early 90s are my picks. I would have liked to see the museum there.

I was staying in the area, drove down over the Passo San Marco from Morbegno into Lecco and then up the eastern side of Lago di Como. I think I was staying outside Chiavenna because the next day I went over the Splügenpass (tough pass on the south side).

Thanks to the COVID BS, I missed 2 years riding there. It would have been 29 years instead of 27.

I almost moved to Bloomfield ( for a girl) , friends bought in Picton , a historical home for peanuts just before the boom . 15yrs and still outsiders lol. My other friends bought a hundred acre farm on the sort of protected lake side , it has a seventy foot concrete pier and a thousand ft of waterfront ,he also lives on the water in aldershot so he’ll be fine .
I had a chance to buy at carrying place but the water was only five ft at the dock , no beano for my boats .

A friend I went to school with bought a dilapidated cottage in Northport after he started working in Ottawa.
Never fixed it up that much but now has million dollar homes on either side.
They desperately wants him to go away.
He says they keep upping the offering price.
His retirement fund!

Plunk a trailer on it and you're golden. For the summer months anyways.

I have an old riding buddy who sold their house here and moved to NB for those cheap houses. Based on the Facebook updates, they were very much not expecting the winter months after being accustomed to Southern Ontario winters.
