When I got insured with TD after 12 years of not riding they DID NOT treat me as a new rider.

Their question was
"Have you owned a motorcycle in the last 3 years?"

Answer
"yes"

The bike was in my name sitting in a garage. It was not insured at all and not ridden.


Not sure how this will affect @mimico_polak lapse in riding.

I only see one solution:

Just buy a VStrom. QUICK.

Vstrom is 10mm taller than a Duc scrambler when fitted with the OE short seat.

If minipolak was ok on a cb500x, the Vstrom will be no problem, the short seal is lower on the Vstrom.

I think his problem with the Vstrom is probably related to its sex appeal.

I quit chasing “sex appeal” bikes years ago.

Owned an H2, a Hayabusa and a few more - pretty, loud and flashy nonsense. All they ever pulled in was a crowd of dudes.

For me… wrong crowd, wrong game.
