What a complete tool. Do you know what you call an indigenous person living in an urban centre? A citizen. They should be vaccinated as per their risk group based on living arrangement, occupation and age as with every other citizen.

Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller says Ottawa is working with the provinces to prioritize vaccinating Indigenous people against COVID-19.

Miller told a news conference in Ottawa Wednesday that there is a need to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to Indigenous people living both on reserves and in urban centres.

He said he has been concerned that the federal government is not able to vaccinate Indigenous people living off-reserve, where the provinces provide heath services.

He said Ottawa is doing “quiet work” with the provinces to prioritize vaccinating Indigenous people living off-reserve.

Vaccine delays are ruining JT election plans. He needs country vaccinated while memories of liberal cheques are still fresh in their minds. I would be very surprised if he doesn't include something to punt tax payable on gov't support into future years (or never) to almost guarantee more votes being bought with our money.

Agree. He's been lying about vaccines all along. He totally botched it by gambling that the Chinese would give us one. Idiot. Now the election he so badly wanted (before the bills come in and he's forced to raise taxes) seems iffy. He also wants an election before the Covid crisis is over so he can use mail in ballots. Why does he want mail-in ballots? Because it makes it easy for every lazy leftist welfare bum to vote without going down to a polling booth. And we all know they vote for free money. Trump found out the hard way how that works.

As expected, wife's second vaccination is postponed. They will be in contact at some point to try to administer it with 42 days of first shot.

I was told tonight by a front line worker that they can mix and match the vaccine so if you’re first shot was the Moderna your second shot could be Pfizer

All this time I was under the impression that only Pfizer had the two shot setup.
I hope there are no adverse reactions caused by all this mixing and matching of these mRNA vaccines.

Pfizer and Moderna are both two shots. Different wait time between though. I haven't heard of mixing and I strongly doubt that will happen as obviously there has been zero study on that.

I didn’t read anything on the two being able to mix, but she had more close ties to the in then i have so i left it at that

We shouldn't be in this position of having to mix vaccines or delay the 2nd booster shots if our Feds were doing an effective job at managing their procurement file. If I hear one more of these Federal knuckleheads start spewing their BS propaganda line about having written contracts with more companies to secure more doses of vaccine for Canadians than almost any other country in the world; my head's gonna explode! While this statement might be true, it does no good if they can't get the vaccine doses into the supply chain and the only person in control of the whole vaccine procurement process, the Minister of procurement for Canada Anita Anand, sounds like a real light-weight any time I've ever hear her speak. Meanwhile Trudy seems to be too busy to pick up the phone and at least let these vaccine companies know he's interested in what's going on with vaccine deliveries. What's he doing all day anyway? Sitting around Rideau Cottage watching PornHub and pulling the goalie? Get off your ass and do something constructive for Canada!

What did you expect when you have a part time drama teacher as prime minister . This is what you get when you pick your caucus by gender not ability .

Concervatives are eating their own .

Cabinet* but yeah

Pfizer is upgrading its plant in Belgium. There’s a worldwide shortfall while they do this.
EU got 93% of their supply, Canada got zero. It sounds like JT contracts are just "deliver x doses by the end of March" with no clauses for interim deliveries.

You'll note in the news today European leaders even had their delivery interuption reduced. Why weren't we making the same calls?

everybody is affected...you can't supply what you don't have

Granted..it seems countries have been affected in different ways.
Uh huh. If I just sat on my ass everytime a supplier said they wanted to relocate/pull out a tool and I wouldn't get parts for a month this plant would have closed years ago.

You get on the phone and push to crunch the timeline, you demand a bank of parts before they shutdown, etc.

What you don't do is what we apparently have done, nadda.

So, has Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called Pfizer?

I’ve asked his office that very question, and I’m sure other media have, as well. As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, there was no answer. On Tuesday, Trudeau’s minister in charge of vaccine procurement, Anita Anand, dodged the question four times when appearing on CBC.
Pfizer Canada also issued a statement on Wednesday saying that their discussions had always been with Anand.

The answer is obviously no, Trudeau hasn’t spoken to Pfizer.

Because ‘there’s nothing we can do and we will have strong words with the supplier’.....

"Will have" means they haven't tried. They know they screwed up and wrote a weak contract and are trying to dip and dodge to make it all somebody elses problem. I wouldn't be surprised if these contracts leak around election time to show just how piss poor they are (please, take all our money and consider sending us some vaccine, but if you don't send it, thats totes cool, we'll pay anyway, sincerely JT).

That’s exactly what I expect. My life is contracts recently and FML the amount of out clauses the suppliers and contractors put in is ridiculous. And people get weird when I ask ‘wtf....have you read this? And you’re ok with this?’

all I get is *surprise pikachu face*

I think we're all aware there's a temporary retooling/supply issue with Pfizer and that's why most of the leaders of affected countries are calling Pfizer jockeying for position in a tight supply situation. Trudeau calling them might not make any difference at all but FFS at least make the effort and create the illusion you actually care about your country's number one issue.
