True that but motorcycles generally yield the best bang for your buck.Fast has never been cheap.
I was reading of $199 or $299/month leases on these in the US a year or so ago...ludicrous price for such a nice car.The Polestar 3 is available for a 12 month lease for $655/month and 0 down.

IMO there's a very limited market for EV's if total financial practicality is the only factor. For too many, they are subsidized hot rods for well-to-do eco warriors. I could never get the numbers to work for me as the EV premium took too long to recoup, worse if I got a bad battery. At the bargain price of $237,300.00
For the economics to work, you need to drive a bunch so the fuel savings offset the increased cost. A friend swapped an f150 for a lightning. Lightning charges off his solar (so charging is free if you look at incremental cost). His monthly gas bill for f150 was $800. His financing payment for lightning is $800.IMO there's a very limited market for EV's if total financial practicality is the only factor. A hybrid taxi / Uber application seems reasonable but my ICE only costs me about $150 a month for gas.
It is a valid point in that the poor can't afford to worry about climate change and the world is full of poor people. Many are dependent on polluting systems to feed and shelter their families. If burning a rubber tire keeps them from freezing to death in the next hour they don't care about the smoke. If they are starving they will kill the last of a species to live another day.As long as the subsidies for your ICE fuel is added into the equation.
Not to mention the CO2 pollution.
nah we can have a perfectly sustainable industrial/technological civilization with todays technology...without destroying climate or biome. It's getting there tho not without headwinds from the troglodytes .Taken to its Nth degree we should be living in mud huts and walking everywhere in leather shoes.

The problem isn't whether something will work or not. The problem is wanting instant solutions. So you started to practice what you pontificate and sold (or better, crushed) your motorcycles? You don't NEED them, and they only cause pollution. If not, then shut it.
It sounds like it had some weird and expensive differences. 800V architecture is nice, but having it only on the halo means you can't amortize it over many vehicles. They should all have been 800 (or wait until next gen and make that 800). Two-speed transmission for an EV is a really strange choice. Extra cost and complexity with minimal upside. Was that chasing a stupid top speed? Tesla plaid can do 322 km/h and then is limited as it is not stable. I don't want to pay for or carry around a transmission that is only needed above 250 km/h.Dodge Charger Daytona Banshee EV Cancelled Before It Even Arrives https://share.google/0l6YqUUD50BDo1dTI

So they are doing the BECM on Tuesday but they won't give me my free oil change they promised last time they majorly messed up my service. Do they not realize these little things very much influence where I buy my next car.The volt is having a BECM failure right now. Taking it to the dealer Friday let's see how this goes it is covered under a 250,000 km 15 year warranty. Supposedly the new ones are made by a different manufacturer and don't have the same cold solder issues.

Leave the battery in the car. Eject the passengers.Awesome....
'Hey, your car's on fire. Let me just toss this heavy (on fire) battery out of the car and throw it to the next closest thing that stops it'

This EV Battery Ejection System Looks Perfectly Safe In Case Of Fire - Jalopnik
A burning EV battery launching out of the side of a car sounds like a serious flaw, but these safety researchers want to do it on purpose.www.jalopnik.com
Good in theory...but then you have an issue of an engulfed in flames battery being tossed into a store, dry field, pedestrians, or any other unlucky object in it's path.
