You guys think I missed the boat on getting my roof re-shingled? Probably too late in the season to do it now?
Reached out to a few of the roofers that came earlier in the season and no one has responded, and the weather is too dicey for me to do it.
I'm OK holding off for next season as it's not THAT bad except for a single row of corner shingles which are on their last legs but all roofers said it's good for another 2-4 years.
How hard is it to do DIY shingle job on a side split house? The pitch isn't too bad but I'm scared as F of heights...so the edge would be the worst. Have done the cottage and shed / gazebo roofs before but those are low height / risk of falling and getting injured.
Seen a guy nearby do his roof with each corner over the course of 1-2 days. Strip, underlayment, put on shingles on one side. Next week he'd do the next side. And so on over the course of 4-5 weekends as he got both lower and upper levels done.
