I also did a thing!

Congrats on the new bike.

Have you tried adjusting the angle of the levers? Moving them down can lessen the flex from the pullback.
Thanks,
No nothing yet. Just my third ride.
Levers seem ok, more the roll of the throttle.

I did have a bit of this issue early on with the vStrom, I think my hand just got use to it. 🤪

I’m thinking about doing a thing. I’m loosing a few marbles as I get older, my thoughts are in the HD area.

Never owned one, all the guys I ride with up north have them. Been looking at street and road glides.
Hey Mike,

Personally, I prefer the Road Glide over Street Glide/Ultra. Fixed fairing cuts the air smoother.

Look at anything 2009 or newer. Older versions have issues with the frame affecting steering shake while turning.

Not sure when they updated the panniers to open easier. Might be 2012 or newer.

96 twin cam and 6 spd Transmission carries them down the road just fine.

Changing the drive belt is a chore. Otherwise, easy to maintain and nice to ride along the freeways.

But you forgot to mention how ugly Roadglides are! :ROFLMAO:
I prefer the batwing (Streetglide) fairing.
There is a reason so many riders have VStroms! 🤣

Street glide looks the best for sure. 😉 Many friends ride Ultras and then get the removable top box and change out the seat for the street glide look.

Then the street glide riders, end up getting a comfortable seat for the squeeze and back rest and then top box……

This would be my ideal pick if I go back to HD for a touring machine. Then again a road glide classic with laced rims catches my eye too.

I went on the York, Pennsylvania Harley Davidson factory tour in 2018 (not willingly mind you) and it's funny that they're very strict on not allowing any photo's to be taken inside the factory. During the tour they said the frames on the big cruisers have been the same since 2008/9. Good thing I'm not taking any photos, don't want to give away any tech secrets.

Ok did a long ride today, ton's of bikes out!

This bike is awesome!
The seat kind sucks, too narrow, slopes, I don't feel planted. I'm all sore now.
My throttle hand is also sore.

Harley guys not used to moving around:rolleyes:

The seat is wider at the back so you just gotta move back

Gotta use that cruise control

The seat slopes, its weird, back might be a bit wider but it doesn't cup you like a cruiser saddle. Must be a Japnese thing, the stock seat on the vStrom was the same thing.

Can't use cruise if I'm always accelerating. It's crazy I was always speeding up, bike is quick!

Does your seat have different heights like a KTM? With my bike the seat height changes but the cradle style/slope changes a little tiny bit too.

Just looked. You have a height and angle adjust so you can change the slope. Two supports under the seat to move.

That's what I did on my Norden 901... I have the seat in the "high" position because the slope changes a bit and I'm not sucked towards the tank quite as much in that position.

It does, it was in the higher setting, but I could feel my shoulders not liking it. Now it's in the lower setting and shoulders are good.
Yeah I'm a mess for comfort.
I didn't find the slope changed. Might give the higher setting a try again.

Not sure if the interwebs is correct but there are two adjusters under the seat. A front and rear? Adjusting one but not the other changes the slope. Adjusting both changes the overall height.

I wouldnt recommend airhawks either, the less barriers between you and the machine, the better.
Robs you of a lot of feel in the saddle.

Id rather just do leg days and strengthen those glutes 🍑🍑🍑

That happens when you over inflate the Airhawk. It needs to have hardly any air in then that disconnect feeling goes away and that’s the proper way to use an Airhawk. It doesn’t feel like sitting on a waterbed at all this way.

Do you find one end of the bike droops more than the other when you get on? You might need to set the sag. Then the whole bike should move up and down equally.
I think you are calling me fat! 🤪

Are you talking about preload for suspension, it seems correct for a single rider. Haven't noticed it dive on the front when I get on it.

"Lookin` mighty good in them tight jeans boy!".... Say it in your best southern Sheriff voice. :p
Ladies love nice glutes too, I promise you, they looking 🤣

I found even a mildly inflated one does it, less contact with the seat, depending on the material of the seat and the friction, it can also move around. The difference was significant

Me too. It was good for a long ride where I'm not moving around much, but I also felt very disconnected from the feel of the ride if riding twisty roads.

When I used one I had it over inflated and it sucked horribly.

When I dropped the air to almost nothing it was a different bike and much more enjoyable.
