Might as well put this out there, since a few of us have so far this year.

My new ride, 2026 Honda Africa Twin ES!
Whoohoo! :giggle: (y)

Only been out on a few test rides to get familiar with the bike. So far so good.
Break in is only 500k. Then first service at 1000km.

Has almost everything I wanted, except side cases. I kept my top box from the vStrom.
About the Strom, was a good bike, I almost regretted trading it in. But this checked more boxes, and insurance was only $13 more. (y)

See you out there!

Wooooooow! Congrats sir. Cant wait to see it burger nights or in the phototag thread.

It seems that everyone and their grandmas are getting new bikes. @Evoex you're up next.

Edit: adding @Lightcycle, weren't you getting a V4R? When is arriving to BC?

Thanks, yeah should be fun this year.

I have a feeling @Evoex is going the other way, no bike! Yet to be revealed!

Beauty. Your bike is a centerstand away from pretty much perfect. Get some bags or bungee cords and toss that fuuugly box, your bike is too good looking for that hairy wart. :p
You are totally right, I was thinking the centre stand IS the first thing I should get, will make maintenance much easier. I can't event check the oil correctly without putting the bike upright. Then maybe the windshield, I need a bit more height to make it perfect.

Congrats! Did you get the center stand put on by the dealer? its a huge PITA to install :(

Apart from that, its an amazing bike

(Wait a minute, did you get the manual version? 😲 I see a foot shifter!)

Thanks! No stand yet, but will be looking for it very soon.

Haha, I forgot to mention, yes this is the manual version, good eye!
I don't think I am ready for DCT. I know you liked it, so did a lot of other people.... but...
I do have plans for the quick shifter ;)

Where did you buy it?

Lolol. Are you referring to the goddamn springs?

If so, I feel you! I bruised my knuckles (and my ego) and those things still didn’t budge.

I was planning to get a decat pipe, but after reading the instructions mentioning you need to remove the centre stand, I think I can wait a little longer.

Yeah the springs , they're not a 1 man job, need 2 guys and some leverage to put it on, maybe the dealers have some special tool to put it on

Snow city, same place I got the vStrom, they gave me a decent price for the trade and a bit of a discount. I saw the same sales agent at the motorcycle show and we got talking, all went very easy.
I reached out to GP bikes as well, but honestly they kept asking me a bunch of dumb questions, so I didn't bother.

You need about a two foot spring puller and someone to hold the bike,... just don`t slip.
