I would add all the advice I have seen for XL dogs (90lbs+) to wait at least 18mon & up to 2yrs to neuter or spay to allow for full hip/elbow development.

Has anyone asked the dog? We have a tendency to transfer human emotions to animals.
When dogs meet on the street do they ask each other about their offspring or just sniff each other crotches.
I know of some humans that would try that if not a fear of getting the crapped slapped out of them.
Pulled one out of my wifes leg today. Tenacious little bastard. It did not want to let go. etick.ca seems good. You upload pics of tick and they log the exposure and identify the tick for you and list things it may transmit to you. It took a few hours but she had a blacklegged tick. It used to be called a deer tick but has been renamed.
Haven't found any on the dog yet. It is almost impossible to see his skin through his fur. None in his pads. He is on Trio which is $50/mo from the vet. Investigating online pet pharmacies. They seem to be ~$120 for 6 mo. Some require prescriptions (vet wants $50 for prescription), some don't. Hard to tell what is legit and what is sketchy.
Actual pet medications like Simparica Trio? I know they will dispense human meds used off/grey label for animals, that where I get Franks meds (Florinef) for his Addison's disease since its so much cheaper than the Vet.
Yes. The branded pet meds. They just started doing this a week or so ago. Our local one handed out some flyers about it. I think it’s limited to the flea/tick/heartworm stuff but they have a selection.

Get an actual tick removal tool. They're cheap on Amazon. Almost any vet hands out the plastic ones as a courtesy.
