Pickup Trucks

Minimum 50k.

Dealers were cranking prices / add-ons for the Maverick like it’s going out of style.
Not unique to Ford. We cross-shopped the Maverick and Ridgeline, and I was interested in a more base model Honda. Was told nothing for at least a year, but they had plenty of the Black models available at a roughly 20% premium from $50k to $60k, if I recall.

Looking at theit website now, they've since completely axed the base LX model, now it's Sport and up only. Makes more sense, I guess.

And at least the Honda dealership was easy to deal with and straightforward, unlike the local Ford dealership, who acted like getting a Maverick was a massive imposition on their time...

Good because the Maverick is great…except in the interior as it’s a parts bin special. So cheap and so many rattles…
That’s an easy $100-200 fix. Some deadener, some closed cell foam, and some foam tape and an afternoon will nicely quiet that up.
Here’s one of my rear doors part way through the process.

Doors are one thing…ripping apart the dash for a rattle is involving…

I’ve got 700km before my comprehensive warranty runs out…wonder if they would do anything.

It’s a ford.. expect squeaks, rattles and clunks.

I used a can of spray foam on a couple of rattle trap ford 250 work trucks. fixed a rattling harness and a squeaky heater box.

You could probably fill the entire dash cavity of a Maverick with a couple of cans.

The dash itself doesn't rattle. The little things attached to it are what makes noise. Felt tape and similar cheap things fix that right up. You just need to make a note of where each thing is that makes noise and trouble-shoot it one at a time.

Ugh...was afraid of that! I don't think the dealership is gonna do poo about it...'this is the car it is...too bad so sad. Buy an F150 if you want quiet.'

Another 30k promise...let's see Toyota dealers NOT mark this thing up to hell and back...

Met a new Maverick buyer when I was selling some accessories from my truck and he said there's a 3-6 month wait for an AWD Hybrid version right now.

He bought one, and shockingly...it was only FWD! I didn't even know they had that option on the Ecoboost motor in Canada.

Edit: Scratch that...the Ford website doesn't allow for a FWD + Ecoboost in the XLT. Must've misunderstood the guy.

I was just looking last night and there were tons of all-wheel drive hybrids listed at different dealerships Milton had a couple even

It could have been his choice of colours...he wanted specific colours.

I know when I was looking for my Maverick I was adamant to have 4k tow (even though I rarely tow) and it was super hard to find.

It was a $700 option on the 2022-2024 versions. It's $1700 or $1900 now because they lock it into Co-Pilot 360 as a forced package.

Junk Ford….

2023 with 62k on the clock and hear a loud scraping / clanging noise.

Pulled a rear wheel off and the dust shield around the rotor is hanging on by a thread…on both sides!

Hopefully both sides fall off tonight during a drive.

I believe his is the six cyl . I think it’s on the same platform as the Audi , or the Audi is on the VW platform depending on how you want to look at it . It drives beautifully

We recently looked at the Maverick. Was considering a lease as I wouldn't want to be stuck with one when the warranty expires. Interest rates were offensive, so we'll wait.
It is a nice little vehicle, as stated by @mimico_polak the interior is lacking.
