Where to get a puppy?

So I've heard / read. A few neighbours on our street took their dogs there and all highly recommend his school...but do state that he's very strict and will call you out if you're not doing what you're told.
Yup, he is there to train you more than the dog.
I think we lost two out of our group that just could not take it.
We stayed on through intermediate and expert classes.
If you do as you're told and do the practice, you will be rewarded.

Good glad to hear it. Our neighbour's dog started and graduated...totally different dog after 3 classes.

But his owner is diligent with daily walks and practice.

Dog training is like new parents , often the bad kid , isn’t bad , his parents are idiots . We have trained several ourselves , my mom ran a kennel , but we may do formal training to help with socializing her . Never a bad idea .

She's always welcome to come and hang out with Fred. He loves dogs. You're invited too.

I've had dogs that's never been on a leash, wouldn't leave my side if someone was calling or other dogs around. also had dogs that as soon as off the leash they would be gone no matter how much training was involved.

Now I've got a couple of cats.

What's worse than one disobedient dog .....two with a fence between them ..fookin yap yap yap and completely ignoring both owners,

Ive had a dog and a cat in this town for 45 years, never had an issue walking a dog off leash, letting my cat out, or playing fetch in a park. Till lately.

My town, Markham, has been infiltrated by Leash Nazis, both residents, and the city. In the last year it’s gotten worse.

If you have an outdoor cat that leaves your property, or play fetch in an empty school yard at 10pm, it’s entirely possible and increasingly likely you’ll encounter a Paw Patrol Commando handing out $600 tickets.

Apparently empty schoolyards are ground zero for canine anarchy.

All it takes is one guy running Fido in a schoolyard , Fido squats one out a hundred yards away and guy is too lazy to pick it up . No more schoolyards to run in . Like dogs on beaches , near soccer pitch , few bad incidents and they get closed

And it's especially disgusting when school is in session, because kids obviously love playing in the field...many a time our custodian has had to come out during recess to clean up what pet owners should've cleaned up themselves.

Dogs are allowed in our school yards, being on leash isn’t so much about poop, it the Leash Nazis that stroll or sit on their decks scanning the parks for off leash dogs - phones on speed dial to the Bylaw office.

Behind my house, is an ‘authorized’ feral cat colony, and a bunch of coyotes. They have bylaw immunity.

And at my pups first “wellness” check we found Giardia ( poop parasite ) and ear mites ( common in puppies) . All very treatable, just some drops and pills . Going to a respectable breeder with good reputation isn’t a guarantee. She’ll be fine , just two weeks of diligence.

Any time that you bring in a puppy in to the vet for a health check if it has not been dewormed tell the vet to skip the test for worms and just give the puppy the dewormer as they all have worms.

No prescription required (vet wanted $50 for prescription).

Thanks for this link!! We are almost out of simparica trio for our two dogs, so I tried ordering from your link this time. Even with duty, taxes and shipping, it came to just over a THIRD the cost!! (at least compared to Lawrence vet - $277.63 vs $778.03). AUD is at par with CAD at the moment.
