Where to get a puppy?

We do the local Rona for social obedience training. They have treats at the customer service area and even at the cash out.

Was very handy during the winter in unpleasant outdoor conditions. Jump the the cafe with the pup and walk the isles of Rona. The garage is full of stuff to install around the house once the weather cooperates.

My dog that recently passed was a bit of an imp. We took him to a local pet store for obedience training when he was a puppy. He stole treats and ****** on the floor and barked at everyone for attention. That was his first and last time in a store.

I think he was part Viking.

Nah.. my dog is medium sized.. but fearless and lots of game.

That’s a Tibetan mastiff.. a larger than normal example.
Another huge breed with some outstanding examples is the kangal. I believe it’s generally considered the strongest breed.. their bite is 3-4 times that of a pitbull..
FWIW

Keep that in mind it you're letting someone else walk the dog. Apparently the person in charge, not the owner, is responsible for liabilities, such as bites and knock downs.

While it may be humourous to see a small person being dragged by a large dog the outcome could be less funny.

I saw that ruling in the news.. but didn’t read it. I’m not even sure what court it was in. In that case, the dog attacked the dog walker. I don’t how it would apply in different scenarios. I don’t think that ruling will apply if I let a 11 year girl walk my dog and something happens…

The topic is too subjective. How responsible is the walker? What is the general temperament of the breed? What is the temperament of the individual dog? Provocation? Illness or injury with the dog? History?

Apparently, the person with control of the dog is legally the owner by their interpretation of law. Now, if a dog attacked someone, I am sure everybody will be listed in the lawsuit (11 yo, their parents, you, etc). The reason that attack got a goose-egg was once the walker was declared an owner, the appropriate person to be suing was herself.

here's the news story being referred to I believe:

Does anyone else find it interesting that a dog walker tries to sue for a million bucks for getting bitten and an illegal left turner kills a rider and gets a $600 fine that goes to the court?

Somewhat using that logic, if you have to pick between hitting a dog or its walker, killing the walker is probably a cheaper option.

Ask for a million , settle out of court for a hundred grand . Happens a lot .

Settling is a known number. Going to court gets you millions for a coffee burn. Court can also get you a loss, your lawyer a new BMW and a MB for the opposition council.

Ya feeling lucky punk?
