Give it a once over all new cables etc and it will last another 20 years.Never had a problem with the 10.5 motor. 30 years old. It's solid, but lots of rust. Broken springs, cables.

Just tipped it up on its front to replace a broken spring and noticed that the auger box welds are going where it attaches to the middle section 2nd stage. Nah, it's done.Replace all the springs, cables and drive wheels for $100 and go another 30.
I should clarify, not easy if you're a 17yr old without much experience in this regard and there's no YT vids to show how as it's the early 90's.
Ariens Platinum. Only a few hundred dollars more than a Deluxe and it's lovingly overbuilt and worth it. Huge engine, faster impeller, heated grips, etc. It's a well-made machine and will eat anything you put in front of it and still look brand new years later. Mine's 3yrs old and I'm in a big-snow area and love mine. Never let me down, starts easily, goes through absolutely EVERYTHING and throws it a solid 60ft at least.
When I got the big 724 I thought maybe I shoulda` got the e-start model. Once I figured it out they start pretty easy though. Just like the old XL250, XL350 and XL500 did. I pull the 724 thru a few times until compression, gas on, choke on, switch on, and one firm pull normally does it.

Since a push start is out, you`re covered. It`s like did a Yamaha 2 stroke autolube pump ever fail? I heard of one... ever.Yep, it's more of a failsafe than anything. Like if I somehow manage to rip or damage the pull cord, it's there.
Has that ever happened in the history of man? Maybe, maybe not.
If I didn't have the electric start option would it totally happen to me? Knowing my luck lately, 100% yes lol.

Built it years ago for a $100 Ice bike challenge. (Spoiler I spent $80 on new purpose made studs and blew the limit)
Motor was stuck and I rebuilt it. The velocity stacks are made from plastic urine sample jars with the bottom cut out and screen hot-glued in the lid. To make sure they don't clog with snow (when I dump it) I made shields from empty oil jugs - they have big louvers on the inside. The rear pegs are being used with a GP shift pattern and home made rear brake pedal.

What year is your F150? Here’s my ‘24 and it couldn’t be easier now. One bolt holds the battery strap and one nut on each terminal. Easy peasy and lots of room. I believe 21+ should be the same.I hate that. My old F150, I could disconnect and take out the battery in seconds. Two nuts, easy peasy.
By comparison my new (to me) F150, you have to know a guy, join a cult, learn the secret handshake, and sacrifice a virgin to take four pieces off to change the thing. Why?!?

My husky quit near the end of last year. I figured it was out of warranty and I had diagnosis down to a coil as the cause. It turns out it was still under warranty so I took it to the shop. It was there for maybe a month. At one point, they thought it needed a new FI module and the bill to Husky was well over $1K. The first tech got fired for sucking and they ended up putting a coil in it. What a crapshow. Hand loading a 370 lb snowblower onto a harbour freight trailer is much more work than putting a coil in my pocket.My neighbor purchased a new Husky blower from a local dealer and it ran a week. Ignition module toast, on warranty, but no parts availability for 4 months.............. It was finally fixed in April, after the last snow.
