watched about 5 episodes of Black Summer on netflix the other day. Show looked good, certainly no "Z Nation" which is a good thing. Enjoyed it for a little bit but some of the characters got really frustrating to watch based on their incredible stupid actions. I could have accepted it more if it was taking place a few days after the zombie outbreak took place but it was 6 weeks or so, enough time to suit up and arm yourself with something, anything. Would you walk around outside with nothing in your hands for protection? I would grab anything, be it a hockey stick, golf club or even a chair, but these characters walk around like sheep... and they never close doors behind them!

Good production, just hate the characters.

Yellowstone - was good. Nothing to heavy, good acting, story, and vistas.

Happy season 2
The visual equivalent of rolling into a off camber decreasing radius downhill bend way too hot then seeing sand and gravel across the entire road.
FWIW better seen on showcase than SIFI

Line of Duty. Excellent Brit police series about an internal investigation unit. 5 seasons now and the latest is very good so far.

Anyone watching The Twilight Zone reboot series? Jordan Peele has pulled in a lot of big name actors. We'll see how the series is.

What We Do in the Shadows has been hilariously absurd so far. Very similar to the vibe and themes of the movie. Definitely refreshing.

Truck Night in America finished season two. Simple entertainment and some very nice rigs this year, but imo none as good as the two I mentioned earlier in S1.

The Son S2 is beginning this weekend on AMC. S1 was interesting and S2 reportedly finishes the story arc.

Okay, game of thrones. No spoilers but seriously, invest in a set of night vision goggles for episode 3, or at least I wish it was filmed using night vision.

Lol ... Guess their CG budget was small. They used dark scenes and snow to mask the action.

I rather liked "Z-Nation" though I may be biased, as I know a few people who were in it. Then again I like a show that doesn't take itself seriously and couldn't really be described as "death porn."

The reason why you didn't like the characters on "Black Summer" is exactly why I gave up on "Fear the Walking Dead" three episodes in; the characters were too stupid to live.

Fear the Walking dead is still a bit dumb. I’m struggling through season 3 right now after giving up on it for a bit but some characters have developed well. Madison is still a bit annoying but Nick and Alecia have developed into interesting characters. Daniel is good, Strong is a good character. Thing is, I like it better than the walking dead because it has a more contemporary feel as opposed to the walking dead’s bleak more distant future that’s become almost medieval.

Watching S2 of Star Trek discovery. It's entertaining and well done, (anyone notice the Scarborough bluffs in one episode?) But I find some parts of it are too slick, and the characters are stiff and have fake bonds which haven't been developed in the story of the show. Ensign Tilly is probably the best character of the show because she has some real personality.

Currently watching the following series:

-Billions
-Lucifer (just started this one)
-Brooklyn 99
-Atlanta (just finished)
-Last man standing (getting old... i think its time to pull the plug on this one)
-Many Nick Jr and Disney Jr shows... ask me anything about Muppet Babies or Puppy Dog Pals.... loll With 3 kids at home, it's mostly what is on TV before bedtime!

Lucifer is awesome. Glad it's been resurrected by Netflix for a new season starting next week!

Anyone watching Game of Thrones? This last season has been kinda meh. Quiet surprised and not surprised, since the author hasn't finished the books. S7 I sensed a bit of a decline to the series, but S8 has confirmed it hasn't been the same as the rest. Well let's see how they wrap it up next week.

I am. This last season is too rushed. I enjoyed the series because it carefully constructed characters and developed them and placed them into intricately described plot lines. This last season is a hot mess. It’s a very well filmed mess and I’m still enjoying it but I’m sad at what it could have been.
