Tool Deals Thread

No doubt. I suspect it was a price error that I bumped into.

We’ll see if the thing shows up - wayfair shows it’s shipped.
Well something showed up nothing like what was ordered.lets see how hard a refund is to get.

What a coincidence. Something showed for me as well. I have been told that someone will contact me in 1-2 business days.

I noticed there are now 4 1-star reviews on the hoist, all saying they got the wrong thing.

I was offered a 15% refund to keep it. Then a 25% refund. After saying I wanted the hoist or a refund they said I can return it and get a refund. Never offered me the hoist. This was all through their chat thing. Fedex will come and pick up the thing I got then I get my refund. Fingers crossed.

Their website initially told me I got what I ordered, then I realized I had answered a question wrong. Finally told me to contact customer service thru their chat

Same for me. They told me to keep the Garvee unit (no charge), they are working on resending the “item as described”.

Wow, glad I didn't order one - I already have one of those I bought but haven't even used yet (been putting off replacing my engine and transmission mounts).

No new unit comprising had to contact them for a full refund and remind them the said to keep the wrong one. All settled does anyone need a garvee lifter like in the pictures?

That seemed way too good to be true. As I said earlier, Princess Auto sells the “Big Red” 2 ton shop crane with load leveler on sale every few months for $350.

The cancelled my order, said vendor was no longer able to supply. Gave me the Garvee for free and refunded initial purchase.

Price was insane seems like a ai description issue. Price was about right for what was sent. I was hopeful but I guess the loader and forklift will keep doing the lifting.

Who's lookin' for a smokin' deal on a couple of discontinued cordless tools?

Benchmark is the house brand of Home Hardware. I have no idea who the manufacturer is. This deal is only available at the Parkway Plaza location, Victoria Park and Ellesmere until Sunday September 6.

½" 20V cordless drill with one 2.5Ah battery, charger, and case. $49.99. Original price $199.99.

¼" 20V impact driver with one 2.5Ah battery, charger, and case. $49.99. Original price $159.99.

So, for a hundred bucks, you're getting two tools, two interchangeable batteries, but you'll only need one charger. Unless you want to charge both at once.

Are these tools any good? Who knows? Probably not for the professional, but may be entirely suitable for a weekend hack, like me.

I'm happy to be the guinea pig.

The reviews don't look too promising for the drill. But it's few and I suppose if people have a good experience with a product, they seldom come and post. I was looking for a cordless impact and a cordless drill myself. Might pull the trigger on this one.

Looks good I think Radley is replacing benchmark that's why they are trying to get rid of these.
