I’ll use it a few times a year, not for hoisting motors, mostly as a little crane for hoisting stuff into the back of my truck or the front ends of bikes

not something I use often, but for $125 I couldn’t resist.
I borrowed one from a friend to unpack and assemble my 4-post lift. Heaviest component was only about 500 lbs, but it was a godsend for doing it alone.
Wow! Also includes a a leveler that's worth at least $30 alone. And something that heavy shipped for free is priceless!
You can't they are losing money like temu that loses money every sale. There is money being lost everywhere on this some of it is paid by China to keep the factory operating at full capacity.

When I bought my mig welder I figured I'd make my own cart instead of paying Lincoln prices. Instead, I bought one from PA for less than the price of the steel.
The worst part of the Chinese stuff is the wheels. They wander and stumble like a drunk.
Steel is subject to volume pricing. One piece of tube is many times the price per pound compared to a truck load.
I just recent built my own MiG cart too, could have bought one but thought it would be a nice little project. I already had a pile of 1 1/2” angle iron that I used. By the time I bought the drawers, paint and some other odds and ends it probably cost $200 but way nicer than the Princess Auto ones which were kind of low and had tiny drawers.

My brother has been manufacturing in China for decades , tablesaws , metal lathes, engine and drywall lifts , all under the Canadian banner of King. Its unbeleivable how much less it costs to build a product that unlike the Canadian manufactures ( when we had some) think Canada/ America as a market. China sees the whole world, and in a lot of cases , close is close enough .
The best part of being able to buy a drywall lift for $179 vs $600 , you'll buy the lift. Do the ceilings without blowing your brains out and sell it on kijiji later . My Chinese metal lathe , benchtop was $900 . in the first week I made 4 aluminum sheeves with bronze bushes for $50 all in, they are $180 ea at retail. paid for the tool in an evening.
Anyone visited Atlas Tools in Vaughn?? its like a candy store if you have a bag on cash on hand

I bought a cheap Chinese concrete mixer for a job. Did the job, kept the mixer for a year then sold it making most of my money back. Cost less than renting one after all was said and done.
Another RFD deal. Cordless highly rated Bosch sliding mitre saw 40% off. This one I am interested in as my old crappy tire one can’t deal with wide lumber.

Nice job. The only thing I’d have done was use 8” wheels on the back and 4” on the front. Makes rolling a lot easier.
Do I see a pit in that garage?
Yes, it’s only about 3’ deep though. Great for doing oil changes and yes, I know they are prohibited.It came with the place.

When I built my garage I tried to sneak one in as I have a 8’ ceiling, too low for a hoist. Building inspector saw the footings and asked what they were for. I told him I wanted a bunker, he told me otherwise.
I went ahead and poured the footings and floor pad thinking I could cut the opening in the floor after final inspection… but a letter came letting me know pits were illegal in the town.
