The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Infuriating. Complete failure of the system results in lifelong consequences for you innocent victims. If you get in a crash while driving with three lifetime driving prohibitions, the hammer needs to be fast and large. F that guy.

Why does he get bail? I'm assuming he was driving the white van? Bet he's already behind the wheel of another one of those by now.

If he was banned, then my assumption is that he was convicted (multiple times) under the Criminal Code. Impaired driving causing bodily harm is up to 14 years. Sounds like this stellar citizen should serve every day of that.

Bring back concurrent sentences. Three people went to hospital so he should get 14*3. Additionally, he permanently changed someones life so his should permanently change. Everything he now owns or ever owns in the future should be automatically seized and transferred to the victim. F that guy.

But it looks like an incarceration sentence would affect his immigration status and would trigger automatic deportation paperwork. Seems to happen a lot. You can kill a dozen or so junior hockey junior players and if you're married to a Canadian woman with a kid you get probation and community service so you don't get deported. There are countless more similar outcomes, so I would bet on his, too........because we need more upstanding citizens like him here.

Well, that's just too bad. He's proven that he's not a candidate for permanent resident status, let alone citizenship. Out he goes.

Going on his history of escaping consequence in his previous brushes with the courts he should be a good candidate for his victims to pursue civil actions but they will no doubt require a good forensic accountant to track his assets.

Would it be considered a deportation or prisoner swap?

As far as the five-time DUI guy goes:

“We are committed to holding dangerous drivers, such as Mr. Kasiram, accountable for their actions,” Deputy Chief Marc Andrews said in a release on Thursday. “Repeat offenders must face consequences sufficient to stop them from continuing to offend, and we are working to ensure that happens.”

I assume the deputy chief is with the police department. Correct me if I'm wrong but the police arrested the drunk, but I think it was the courts that let him out.

Further narrowing the search, many online have recognized the iconography on the map as being Chinese. I tried to identify the car dash, but failed miserably. All that I can say is it isn't a high end electric, which was my initial assumption.
