Stopping the bike ASAP by laying bike down or use both brakes? Emergency Situation

Stopping an SUV ASAP by rolling the vehicle or using all four brakes?
 
Well, that sets back motorcycle safety training a good 30 years. :rolleyes:
 
Getting rid of a headache ASAP.... take an advil or shoot yourself in the face?
 
Do you have even the slightest idea what your tires are capable of?

If you can't use them to stop faster than you can by sliding down the road, you need to learn ASAP or give up riding.

Maybe if I was somehow heading for the railing on the Gardiner.
 
I'm not genius but sliding into a small bale of hay that will move when hit versus a vehicle that will swallow your bike and not move is completely different. I'll take my chances with my brakes and ABS.
 
Yeah, kind of silly that they even implied that you could stop faster by laying the bike down. As other have said you'd have to be a pretty poor rider to not be able to outbreak a sliding motorcycle.

I'm more concerned about the injuries you'll sustain while going for a slide....nobody knows what **** is on the road for you to slide across.
