Never such a well done Agincourt. No idea how true to history in detail but felt correct.
Chalamet pulls it off as Henry.

The King, certainly the best ever made for TV film, may just be the best movie experience of all time. Enormous intelligence and creative talent makes this epic a breathtaking, edge of the seat experience and informs the script, the direction, the cinematography and the acting. Both Branagh and Olivier produced superb tellings of Shakespeare's play, Henry V, but satisfying as these productions were for me they are surpassed by this Netflix effort."The KIng" disregards the theater's four walls and the constraint of Elizabethan language but eloquently employs modern English together with masterful depiction of the 15th century setting.The director's coordination of the brilliant cast and the awesome technical resources should win him the Oscar but that recognition as well as best acting awards would be a cheap recompense for the unique achievements of this movie.As for Timothee Chalamet, I lack words to convey my joy that this brilliant actor has been given the chance to employ on screen the full range of his unexcelled abilities. Not since my wife and I ( an octogenarian and a nonagenarian) jumped (or tried to) to our feet in the second row for the curtain call at John Patrick Hanley's "Prodigal Son", huzzahing and clapping to express our feelings at our first exposure to Mr. Chalamet, has our satisfaction been as complete.We must have caught the eye of this young man because while we were walking on 7th Avenue an hour after the show I was hugged from the back and my wife from the front by him and treated to a discussion of the play and his history with the easy camaraderie of a grand child.

Continuing the "Trailer Park Boys" trend and just recently watched "SwearNet" in which the guys essentially play themselves. Pretty good, again if you like their brand of comedy. I really didn't recognize Mike Smith without the Coke Bottle glasses.
 
Nice to see Dune 2 out on Netflix. When I started watching I realized I'd forgotten lots.
Good feed nearfield on the 55" with the Momentum 4 headphones on, did not miss the theatre screen at all.
However waaaaaay too long at 3 hours for one sitting. Will resume tonight. The rewatch lets me fill in details. Getting more and more engaged with Timothy C after seeing his turn as Henry 5 in The King
damn I gotta wait til dec 2026 for Dune part 3

I gotta think Dune 2 is difficult to follow for those not familiar with the larger stroy

Very dark filming - all natural light, candles, fireplaces, smokie halls with torches.....missing an OLED screen. Daylight scenes are excellent. Sucks having no money..

That was a good production based in historical fact sets and lighting trying to stay true as much as possible and I liked the was the forward history was presented at the end ...300 years forward :eek:
Seems I need to do some deeper reading on Robert the Bruce. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👑

Recently watched The Accountant 2, was good, but got me thinking of the first movie, just watched that, I thought I had seen it before but didn't remember anything about it. I think overall it's the better of the 2, though I preferred the lighter fun tone of the 2nd one.

I'm surprised they didn't try to make a Tv series out of it, but then I thought about this show called Tracker, which kinda has a few of the similar elements.
 
"Death of a Unicorn" - Utterly predictable and we can do better CGI than that. OK, I guess, if you just want to turn your brain off for a couple of hours.

The 3/4 ton towing a trailer around couldn't be more of a direct rip-off.
 
Rewatched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 last night and I don't think I was overly keen on it the first time but loved it this time around (loved the first one also).

I'm a fan of GotG 1, it was really fresh at the time, kinda different then the rest of the Marvel movies, and just fun and worked well. The other 2 were just dull and I felt missed the mark completely.
 
Yeah the raccoon deserves a Hollywood Star of it's own.
The other two had their moments but the first one was groundbreaking.
The whistle controlled arrow was fun.
 
Just re-watched 28 Weeks Later.
I forgot how great this movie is - for sure it was shot before Woke and DEI madness.
Can’t wait to see the upcoming sequel :)

I also think Accountant was better than 2. I got fed lots of hype about the new one, I thought it was just OK.

They're doing a sequence of movies; "28 days later", "28 Weeks Later", and "28 Years Later."
