Milly Allcock was terrific in the Dragons series - they killed her role too soon.

and Julianna Moore is always good, I really enjoy Kevin Bacon..

TRON: Legacy

Wow. Not often I wish I could get that time back.

Didn’t enjoy it at all.

What, how.. it's amazing, and very underrated movie.
Soundtrack is killer.
But... Tron is more of a niche movie and less mainstream.

Visuals great. Soundtrack great. But I just couldn’t get into it.

Maybe will give it a whirl when I’m older like you guys. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I felt the same way. Great sound and nice visuals (in pleather pants). Story didn't hold my attention.

Unfortunately, a lot of studios don't seem to understand that great CGI and nostalgia don't work forever. You eventually need to have an idea that is intriguing.

So you’re saying the old guys here only liked it due to eye candy…makes sense. Lots of that.

But the story…snoozefest IMO.

Taking me right back to my childhood — religious shite and a little bit of hard scrabble tho not to the same extent.
The correct time frame tho maybe a few years later when I would go to Oklahoma with parents for my sister to go to bible university in Enid.
in the mid/late 50s.

Dennis Quaid is perfect in the role….even the accent.

That it's a true story makes it work

Pretty good teeth for hardscrabble but hey....

Schmaltzy as hell and saved by it being true if a bit over dramatized. (y)

and another schmaltzfest

The food looked great but over the top for me just now ....need a nap.

Idk if its out yet, saw a early screening but FRIENDSHIP is really really good.

Not a lot of rewatch value but its a really well done movie.

Watched a few older movies recently and a newer one

Just for Margot Robbie

It's not great or bad, but somehow I like it.

Feels a bit dated, still some good parts.

Meh, got about 20mins or less, for lack of better word, dopey. Overall premise is interesting, just terribly executed.

Q TV series.......Damn that was crazy.

Need a decompress.
Made me grin - writing is good. Needed a feel good after the week I had
Bloody ambitious and just what I needed. (y)

Really great to see Dreamworks knock one out of the park....this is a top notch movie. From a review
What to Expect from The Wild Robot As someone who watches 8-10 films in theaters each month and has seen over 300 films in 2024 alone, including the top 20 grossing films, it takes something truly special for a movie to break into my top 3. The Wild Robot has done just that.
For a cinephile who watches so many movies, The Wild Robot stands out in a year full of blockbusters. Its ability to connect emotionally with an entire audience is something I rarely see. It’s not just a family film—it’s a cinematic experience that resonates deeply with viewers of all ages. If you’re looking for a film that blends emotional storytelling with stunning visuals, this is it. The Wild Robot deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible—it’s a movie that will leave you thinking, feeling, and remembering why you love cinema. šŸ’–

Fifty years or more since I saw the theatre release in the cinema. I recall riding in on my Yamaha 250 2 stroke I think. Damn 1964 is 60 ******* years ago. I suspect it didn't hit the little theatre in St Catharines on release day.
I was taking a movie critic course and movies were $2 for us....I watched a lot.
The Prime Video feed is very good.....surprising quality.
