I rode a KLR on and off road for 90,000 km before I switched over to a lighter, more dirt worthy bike, but in doing so I gave up comfort on the highway.
I'd never do more than gravel roads with the cast rims on the nc700x, but it's sure to be a better mount than the DR650E for the highway. And low down grunt is something I like. Short shifting? The KLR, DR and Versys all have their power in the low end, unlike an in line four that doesn't pull until over 7,000 rpm.
I'm intrigued, and after Patrick Trahan gave it a nod, really interested in giving it a demo ride.
High side that BMW and see how much that "adventure bike" costs to put right.
I've ridden the twin F650GS, my sister's single F650, my brother in laws F800GS, and the first two held no appeal, the third cost 18,000 with bags out the door.
Maybe what I need is a 450 Husaberg, a V-Strom and an ST1300 in the garage.
That Honda could be a do all bike with the exception of offroad, provided one can get a rack and hard cases for it. Heated grips.
What size tires does it take front and rear?
