Fixed the hot tub I hope. The flow switch has been acting up for a while put a new one in. Also been getting a overheat warning lately so I changed the overheat sensor. Strange thing was the pump for the heater wasn't running so it could have been overheating but all the sudden it started while I was trying to troubleshoot. Has been good ever since I will keep an eye on it.
Good start , maybe consider getting some oak plugs and countersinking the screws for neater look . You’ll have trouble getting red oak to stain close to the plank floor , use white oak next time .
Ok next project. How do I fish an Ethernet cable through a crawl space and round a 90 degree corner? There’s a couple of HVAC ducts scattered about but not in a direct line of sight from where I can poke the cable into.
2 sets of fibreglass fish rods? One with the cable and the other with a hook to grab the end? Not sure I’ll be able to eyeball this though from anywhere.
It’s a real crawl space. 20 year old me would have got in there with some effort. Me now, not a chance in hell.

Mine runs along the baseboards and through walls in the basement, then up the side of a kitchen cupboard, through the ceiling to the linen closet, into the attic and then down through individual closets and along baseboards. There is a switch at each connection point. Everything is accessible if there’s a problem

Powered internet switches? Haven’t looked into what I need to sort this out. I recently switched providers and got Bell's 3GBS fibe service and would like to spread that more round the house. The pods are good, I have 1GBS or more service in most of the house now through WiFi but I need at least one of the pods to have wired backhaul.

One pod has poor speed. Near modem is fine, pod #2 is fine, pod #1 is slow and needs a boost from hardwired backhaul. Pod #1 is connected to the media centre so that’s the one that needs more speed for streaming etc.
A chainsaw is one of those buy-once-cry-once items. A handful of them will be fine but the majority of these cheaper routes work well for a few uses then give the owners so much issues they end up on marketplace or yardsales. I'm speaking from experience on this one.
Just make sure to run premix. Accidental refueling with straight gas is a very common cause of death for homeowner saws. The saws are cheap enough that a rebuild rarely makes economic sense.
If you have a battery eco system , makita / Dewalt , look at an electric. Not good if youre a lumberjack but limbing and getting rid of smaller deadfall , they are pretty handy . I’ve had a corded electric for years .
And you don’t need a huge chainsaw , twelve inch bar takes down a twenty four in tree

My Poulain Pro weedwhacker was very temperamental. I spent ages trying to get it run just right and eventually just sold it. That was an older model, things may have changed.

I have a Stihl 026 from decades ago. It’s my go to for big stuff. I also have a little corded Remington, that’s all I use around the yard. It’s been in service for 20 years, probably on its 5th chain.
My next is a Milliwakee, my kid has one and it’s all I’d ever need.

I also have a little Remington, which I borrowed from a co-worker, and well never return, it's handy little saw, and does a lot more then you think it would.
