Yep. That and never volunteer info are cardinal rules of an experienced border crosser. You’re preaching to the choir here, I used to do this for a living. Thankfully no more.
But knowing your rights and being willing to politely demonstrate to someone overstepping their bounds that you know them is also just fine in my books.
I’m happy to go to secondary for a few minutes and ask what CBSA suspects me of in order to ask to see my phone. If they give a good/valid answer then they’re welcome to see it.

Haha, crossing into the US on the Ape one time (in Cornhole) there was a whole team of agents staged behind one of the booths. I asked my agent what was going on and they said they were going to randomly inspect someone for fruits and vegetables. I asked if I was the lucky winner on a bike as it wouldn't take long and he laughed and said they were waiting for a better target.
Went to get tested and they'd shut the line down before I got there, a half hour before they officially close at 3:30.
It said due to high demand, but I didn't see anyone around.
Last time I went by, there was 100 people in line outside.
Anybody get tested? How long did you have to wait? What were the hours given? What time did you go?

My wife went once after work three or four weeks ago. She didn't say there were any issues. Results in ~36 hours.

I've been tested 4 or 5 times, not even sure anymore lol. Everytime I go early morning, never takes more than 20 minutes. But that's here in Barrie.

That's very helpful timing. :/ Govt complains the economy is in the crapper, urges people to get tested and then forces you to take time away from work to do it. 7-1 or 3-9 would be more useful hours.
Got there about 9:20, and it took about an hour and a half to two hours.
I don't think I have it, but some of the people I may work with have family members who are more vulnerable.
I have had allergies this year same as last and every other year.
The separate it into multiple waits. Wait in line. Show your OHIP card, and provide an email address at a booth. Move to a seated area. Wait. Called up to a booth to verify and get a wrist band with the previous info. Back to same seated area. Wait. Called to a health monitor area. Get your temp., blood pressure, pulse taken. Back to same seated area. Wait. Called to physician area, where they go over and discuss your health, and do the actual test. Out to another area, for a short wait while they submit the info. Out.
Was told I'm asymtomatic, so usual precautions.

Note: Even though she had said I was asymptomatic and good to go, she wrote on the sheet that she gave me that I should self-isolate, which means I'm done going out for two - four days until I receive my results. That meant that I had to call in for a replacement, which I wasn't expecting to have to do. Better safe than sorry.

Up here you don't even need to get out of your car because they've set-up a temporary tent in the parking lot of the hospital. The tent has two lanes and the testing is done in there. When we pulled up there were only three cars were ahead of us. As you wait in that line the staff comes to you and asks questions at the window. They give you the information sheet and a form to fill out. By the time we had completed the form we were directed into the tent. Swab is taken and a few more questions then out you go. Results online within 48 hours. Testing is done everyday between 9am and last car admitted at 4:30pm.

Just got my results back, and I'm negative.
It seems a bit of a shitshow if you want to confirm that you're negative.
They want you to isolate anyways.
Some people might not get tested due to the above, which would save money, but could also make vulnerable people less safe.

Once you've tested negative there's no need to continue to self isolate IF you have no symptoms.
Any symptoms at all, even just a headache, yeah you could still be a false negative and you're recommended to self isolate, or take a second test to confirm the negative from the first.

What's the test like? I've heard wildly ranging stories, from "it feels like a Q-Tip in your nose for a brief moment" to "it was so uncomfortable I thought I was gonna vomit".
If done right the swab should tickle your brain but alot seem to be done wrong leading to lots of false negatives. It's not really that bad but not nice either.

My observations is that reports on how bothersome the test is are directly proportionate to the number of medical procedures a person has had in their lifetime.
Someone who's lived life outside a bubble and has had their share of visits to a hospital for things over their life equate the test to barely worse than a Q-Tip in your ear. Someone who's lived life in a bubble and considers a bleeding hangnail a medical emergency that may lead to death, well, I can see how they'd think that someone is puncturing their brain.
