Day 1
Okay so I started out today at 9 a.m. made my way to the ferry up in Tobermory.
Pleasant day riding temperatures never exceeded more than 25 Celsius and it was a great ride up into the ferry
Got on the ferry with all the other bikes and talk to some of the people on the ferry.
Was a pleasant ride and then we unloaded and made my way to Espanola
I got gas at the Esso at 6 and 17
Danger danger danger the parking lot and driveway to this gas station is in terrible shape.
The potholes are so big that they painted them orange
Be very careful if you're in this area
Then I continued along 17 into Sault Ste Marie
Wonderful ride…the roads (17) in beautiful shape and there's some very nice picnic areas along the way

I checked into the Holiday Motel in Sault Sainte Marie very nice motel and a very reasonable rate tomorrow I will wake up early and continue on and try and make my way to Dryden

Here are today's picks
Gonna be tough to post on these long days but I'll try

Following.

Still no services whatsoever on the ferry, not even a place to buy a drink?

Water
free glasses of ice water
that's It.

I'll take it - more than they had a few weeks ago - had to lug my thermos full of ice water all around the ship during the crossing.

7am and it's 11c
holly sh!tballs thats cool

Nice stuff Kiley. Looked like a gorgeous day to be on the ferry.

The 502 leads from Hwy 11 north to Dryden. It is freshly paved and apparently an excellent road to ride to get to Dryden.
Id don't think it would add much time to your route, but it's nicer than the TC between Thunder Bay and Dryden.
Safe Journey.

Hey all.
So I'm in Dryden Ontario
I did about 1031 kilometres today
Highway 17 is just a wonderful ride from beginning to end with some wonderful pull-offs and picnic areas and the view of Lake Superior is brilliant
I saw a bear today pretty close to the side of the road
I think that's the first Black bear I've seen while riding in Canada
There's some construction zones along the way but the girls are more than willing to chat it up while waiting for the lane's to clear
Libations by the lake just outside Dryden
Charlotte approves this totem pole but says it needs a coat of paint
I'm spending the night at the Best Western and I just had beef dip and Caesar salad for supper
Tomorrow I will make my way to either Moose Jaw Saskatchewan or Swift Current Saskatchewan taking more of the Trans-Canada Highway
Enjoy the pics

Nice pics and day for riding.
I was debating on staying in either Swift Current or Saskatoon. Someone mentioned to me that Swift Current was having a mild Covid outbreak, but news reports show it was a couple of weeks ago. Maybe check the news reports for recent happenings there if you choose to stay there. If you do stay in Moose Jaw, curious to hear where you stay and if you like it.
Enjoy the ride.

Day 3
Hey all I'm in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan
another 1008 km today
see link below for today's route
Forgot to mention this yesterday…met up with a lot of riders on Friday who are riding from Espanola Sault Ste Marie Wawa Chapleau and 129
I guess the great weather brought them to this area

More from today's ride… so I did the rest of the northern part of Ontario Trans-Canada Highway this morning it was a beautiful ride all the way up to the Manitoba border
on top of the big rock formations are these little Inukshuk that were made by people

There's thousands of them and you can see the people really put an effort into them
Some of them came out really really well
I did a real small one but it didn’t turn out that great
there's literally thousands of them handmade and they look great
I made my way into Manitoba
The roads are not the greatest.
On the way home I will go around Winnipeg
I crossed into Saskatchewan
There is a checkpoint but there was no issues so I made it through fine The roads in Saskatchewan are way better than in Manitoba
Not many picks today as it was a travel day but enjoy the ones that I did take

Biggest mystery of the trip so far....how you keeping that bike so shiny? ;)

Looks like you're having fun. Hasn't been any moto camping for me this year so far....miss it.

Day 4
Sunday
Morning all
Sorry this is a day late
After dinner I fell asleep and didn't get a chance to post

So Sunday I made my way from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan to Cranbrook British Columbia
I found Moosejaw to be a little bit expensive and OMG the Flies
Never have I seen so many flies
I got up early and started making my way to BC
I found myself going through more gas
Must be from driving into the wind
I made my way through Alberta into BC
Crowsnest Pass (3) is a breathtaking Canyon road that takes you into the mountains
I settled in Cranbrook for the night and went to East Side Marios for dinner
Today I will make my way up to Radium Hot Springs
I'm going to spend the next two days up there relaxing and exploring. Short days from here on out

Draft beer is expensive here...think I'll stick to libations by the lake
Enjoy the pics
