I’m pretty sure the Supermailboxes halt was a Justin thing, not CPC.Nine years is not a bad window , you have to remember the last time they randomly showed up in neighborhoods and started excavations and pouring concrete with no local consultation or permits . Towns slammed the lid on that. CPC said “ we are a fed regulated company” to which the municipality said unless your a railway quoting the act of eighteen whatever it was , beat it . Canada post quietly withdrew the superbox project with a variety of excuses , not mentioning they had no work permits in place .

When Harper’s gov cancelled home delivery in 2013, they planned to convert 5million homes in 5 years, accelerating from 200k a year in 2014 to 2m a year for 2019.
F@“k the consultation, that’s just another good waste of taxpayer money as nimbys force the expense of consultants, lawyers, and countless levels of government departments. Then there’s union forces looking for tools to slow down the process.
Damn the torpedoes - throw the boxes up wherever it’s convenient.
