Canada Post - Huge losses

Got another card drop today. Dog barked as the driver came to the door, I looked out and saw him leave empty-handed. No biggie - I thought he was an Amazon driver so I didn't chase him down. No ring, no knock.

About a minute later, I went to collect what I expected to be packages and saw 2 Delivery Notices pinned to my door.

2nd time this year.
That used to happen to us on a regular basis at our last house. The superbox that served our 41-unit townhouse development was rather small and didn't have the larger package areas like some newer boxes. Since the majority of people in that area worked outside of their home, I expect that the carrier would look at how many packages would fit into the box and only take those with them when they left the distribution centre. He/she likely pre-filled the delivery notices for the packages left behind and tossed them into the mail slot. We lived there for five years and never once had a carrier come to the door to deliver a package.

In the three years we have lived in our current home it hasn't happened once. It could be that the superbox is a newer style with lots of large package spots, or the fact that this area is largely retired seniors, or young families with one of the parents at home, so there's always someone home to receive a package that won't fit in the superbox.

I've experienced that as well. Guess my time was worth nothing.
Your time is worth nothing to anyone.

"We are experiencing a large volume of calls" BS. They are understaffed but heaven forbid they hire a few more staff and the call takers get a few seconds between calls.

I spent five minutes of my time yesterday answering a survey as to why I closed my RBC account. My final comment was that I was a human being chatting with a robo that cost them nothing.

I haven't tried this but it would go like:

Surveyor: "Would you participate in a survey?"

Me: "Sure but are you getting paid to ask me questions?"

Surveyor: "Yes. Why?"

Me: "Answers are more valuable than questions so how much do I get paid?"

Report these clowns. If you have video evidence then that's even better.

Call your local depot and ask to speak to a supervisor.
I reported it by chat on their website. After they asked for the card numbers, I supplied them then no further response in the chat.
