Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

So they are doing the BECM on Tuesday but they won't give me my free oil change they promised last time they majorly messed up my service. Do they not realize these little things very much influence where I buy my next car.

Sales has its budget and service has theirs. Service doesn't do anything without getting paid. They don't care if the money comes from you or the rep that sold you the vehicle, but it comes from somewhere.

It was the dealer owner that promised a free oil change after they way overcharged me last time.F them I will buy somewhere else when I need a new car. They can see it on the file but it was more than a year ago so they won't do it. I will let them know I bought somewhere else over this once I buy something new.

I just don’t think they care. Sales and service have their own priorities and while they should all strive for the best…they very much only care about their own bottom line.

To be a candidate for a Tesla truck you need a pile of money and a desire to be weird. Tesla may have used up the world's supply of rich weirdos.

A yacht design book stated that if a boat was good looking enough the owner would forgive the faults. If the design was ugly he would never stop looking for them.

The Brits banned them because the sharp edges could cause injuries. Maybe it was a polite way of saying they hurt the eyes.

Tesla releases mad max mode for when you want fsd to ignore laws. How could that go wrong? Higher speeds and more frequent lane changes than hurry. A 172 charge in fsd would be funny.

I wasn't comfortable in my buddy's Model S in Hurry FSD. I can see it working OK on a lightly travelled multilane highway where most vehicles are also in a hurry.

It would be different in heavy traffic if it entailed weaving in and out. There's a difference between parking a car six inches from the bumper of another car but cutting in with that clearance at 140 KPH isn't a good idea. Where does FSD draw the line?

Buddy had his in FSD mode in a construction lane reduction area and the Tesla didn't chicken out when we had to get into a different lane.

Who gives in when two FSD vehicles want the same real estate? Do they talk to each other?

A very big concern is a third-party collision when a non FSD driver gets spooked by an aggressive move and collides with a third innocent party. Since the FSD vehicle didn't make contact, it continues its journey.

Test the Mad Max version at the Daytona 500 first.

I don't quite get the Mad Max mode and the need for it. I usually leave mine in Standard. I have it in Hurry mode sometimes and used it in Hurry mode to go to Pearson from KW a few times. Nothing unsafe about the way it drove and felt comfortable with it. Going beyond that, not sure what Mad Max brings beyond higher speeds and maybe passing on the right? My car is an early 2021 so I am on a few versions back of FSD updates, not compatible with the update that has this to try out.

I'm not sure what speed limit adherences are for standard, Hurry and Mad Max. Sloth mode was briefly mentioned. I assume the car automatically goes to the left lane at 20 under with the turn signal on.

Not surprised. They are not selling enough to justify the facility. I have seen a couple in the wild.

I thought about getting a job there way back when it was Cami building the equinox. Glad I chose a different route.
Seeing more and more, Fedex had them first. Now i've seen Purolator, Staples and a few indie companies with them downtown.

Appears to be a shorter version as well.

Might be paywalled.

Paywalled but it's Doug Ford not as I originally thought, Ford Motor.

The trouble with the bailout and grants is that the properties are owned by a different entity than the manufacturer and can't be used as collateral.

Same owner but a different pair of pants.

Yet another reason we shouldn't be writing cheques up front. Politicians use the promised jobs to sell the cash burn. Do it in reverse, when the jobs happen, cheques roll in based on income tax paid by Canadian residents. Unfortunately that won't happen as everyone knows the projections are complete crap.

Kind of like getting parents to cosign a loan on a pickup truck, telling them it'll get you to start looking for a job.
