Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Tesla FSD drives like a prick. Recognizes solid lines and completely ignores them to go where it wants.

I have previously tested FSD and have always been disappointed with random phantom braking. I recently subscribed again. Still early days- i have been using it only for a week. It is significantly better than a year ago.
The main annoyance is that it changes lanes more than I would prefer (as if it does not like to have a car in front of it)- but overall I can see a lot of progress

My short as a passenger in my friends S was impressive. I wonder if they get programmed differently for Brampton.

are you set to "Hurry" mode for FSD? That mode zips in and out. I use standard mode and find it really good on the highway. It will pass and sometimes stay in the left lane, but if a car comes up behind it moves to the side.

I need to check this once back in Mississauga. I assumed default would be chill mode.

This should punt that Royal Enfield abomination into the stratosphere.

Only if it can be produced at an affordable cost compared to other battery technologies. And that's not counting alternative fuels, either. Besides, the way some governments are leaning, we may be back to gasoline by then.

Another electric school bus burned up. This has made the news a few times within the last year (IIRC, at least one in Ontario and this one in QC). I have not idea on rate as diesel bus fires wouldn't get as much attention but there can't be too many electric school busses on the road so multiple fires with no crash is not good. As with most EV fires, we don't have a good way to permanently extinguish them. Big battery plus fire leaves you with something that reignites itself long after you think it's out. Some fire departments have a water tank to leave the vehicle submerged for a week to suck the heat out and self-extinguish any attempt to burn again but I don't know of any with a tank big enough for a bus.

"The Lion Bus that caught fire in Montreal with students on board.....
""One interesting part that didn’t make the news, the bus caught on fire again after it was towed away. And almost burned two more times after that… As the battery kept heating up again over, and over."""

I was cleaning up the office and came across a Lithium power pack that hasn't been used in years and I noticed it was starting to swell. I put it out on the concrete patio until it makes its way to hazardous waste.

Where is mill run accountability on the battery market? Tesla doesn't seem to have a bad rep but BTD in China, not as good. We need some scale of risk here but rational thinking does sell media.
