LOL,, That's the order of the file Ken sent me. I was in first place on the first file because it picked up points from qualifying..

I'm looking into either myself and Johnny, or Johnny only coming out to do round 3.
Is there enough time to get a SOAR license? Does ARC qualify as a race school equivalent? Otherwise what would be involved.
What groups could we qualify for Johnny being an experienced rider and on an 07 Gixer 600, me being novice and on an 07 Gixer 750? The rule book mentions a women's class, yet I don't see any thing about that in results, has this been canned?
I've been at Cayuga once some 2 years ago, would there be sufficient practice time to get comfortable with the track?

ARC is fine for a license just bring the cert or a copy of it with you.

We are likely the ONLY organization that I know where our racers actually complain they get TOO MUCH tracktime.
SOAR never shortens races if your heats are 12 laps you will get 12 laps. If we run late we run late. We do not do night rentals on the track. When we rent the track we have it from Friday morning to Sunday night.

There is always time to get a SOAR license. We run a school on the friday of every round, and FAST, ARC, and previous race experience/licenses will prove competency and allow you purchase a SOAR license. http://soaracing.ca/html/forms1.htm is the link to our license/ entry forms. once filled out, email to info@soaracing.ca.
You - 07,750 - superbike, open sprint.
johnny - 07 600 - 600 extreme, superbike, oldboys club (if over 40), rookie cup (if less than 5 prior race weekends), and open sprint.
You're kind of limited with the 750, but it you're out there, and just looking for track time, you might be able to bump down into 600, old boys (pretty sure the gents wouldn't mind a female out there, if you're over 40) and rookie (if you have less than 5 race weekends), just to race.
Unfortunatly there has been ZERO turnout for the much requested formula femme series. I know it's something we were looking forward to doing, but a bunch of guys in wigs with fake tits out there racing isn't fooling anybody. We need Women entries to make it go.
if you sign up to do the race school on friday it's usually open practice with an instructor, either Al Robb, or Scott Rupert. friday alone with either of those guys should get you comfortable and up to speed, but there is always Saturday practice as well if more time is needed. Next round is not an endurance round so there will be lots of practice time available Saturday if you need it.

I need to get a track/race bike before I race, I'm riding my street bike on the track ya know?! I can't push it, then I won't be able to do ice cream runs on the bike

Nope its a misprint. Until some ladies start showing some interest it will not be on the schedule again.

Johnny will be riding, I will be helping out. I would love to ride, but I need to get my suspension issues sorted out and unfortunately that won't happen until the week after round 3. I will see if I can make it out for the 17th to give the track a try.
If all goes well, we'll likely see you guys again at round 4.

oh man.. that makes me want to ride anyways next week just in the lady class. Are you running it in conjunction with another class on the track?

I will let Ken give the official word. But the unofficial word is that there will not be a woman's class scheduled again until we have at least a few pre-registered women commit to the race.
Womens class is shelved until we see a commitment from the women. I cant have races with 1 or 2 bikes. If more women come out then the rules are already written and we can add it to the schedule but as it stands now and in the near future there will be no womens calss in SOAR.
IMO, they should just race with the men anyway... they are always grumbling about equality... I guess not in everything...

OK, no problemo... I'll wait till my bike is set up and run with the boys.
The women's thing is a little weird, especially since obviously some have requested it and now no one is showing up. It's got a bit of a "special bus" feel to it. Obviously some women feel they need the extra gentle intro into playing with the rest of the field and if it helps get them into the sport, that's great, but isn't that the point of a novice class? I think it's a little silly that the women expect less of themselves, would be nice to see some more confidence. I've never felt unwelcome in any manner by the boys in the sport and in general every one around the track is usually very helpful to any beginners so I really don't buy that women need special treatment because they struggle in this man oriented sport argument. ...20 years ago maybe..
Are dogs allowed on the grounds?
