True, but it's always best to buy the actual one someone has had good experience with. Most may come from the same factory, but not always, and you can end up with some real garbage. Which is also why you see mixed feedback on apparently the same product - because of the way Amazon consolidates the reviews.
I cringe whenever I see someone do a kickstand spin. Fine for a steel kickstand bolted to a steel frame, but I have some various combinations of lightweight cast aluminum kick stands and/or bolted directly to the aluminum engine case.
I had to grind down my kickstand foot around the edges to get it to fit inside this plate perfectly. There's others that are more of a universal fit, but I didn't want those ones.
Yes tried Amazon but they don’t fit. The foot on my stand is a triangle where most seem to be made for an oval foot. It is an ok size but still sinks easily into softer ground. Trying to mount bike on right side but I’m old and slow.

Or you could pick up one of these the next time you're at a motorcycle show. They are usually handed out free of charge at the shows. I have a few of them that I've acquired over the years and keep a couple on the bike just in case I, or a friend, needs one while out riding. They are lightweight plastic and have no problem supporting my very heavy ST1100.
