There's some mips cycling helmets at Costco for $29. There's also some older version ones with a built in rear light for $25 if you can find them. Great value for a mips rated helmet, I got one last night. The brand is Freetown they are one size but with lots of adjustment. If they fit you they are great.

How is something like this out of curiosity from anyone that road bikes?

Seems to be a decent sale.

I've been checking Facebook Marketplace religiously, but people are selling ridiculously old bikes for like $400 bucks less than what it would cost to get a brand new one...

Chinese parts bin components. No idea on weight (heavy bikes suck to ride). You can go into a physical store and touch one though so that's a major plus.

Check Costco too. They often have non-brand name bikes with very good parts on them for good prices.

Shimano and Tektro stuff. $390

Bit more for a lot more (disc brakes)

There's a few different ones there in multiple styles and sizes and a range of budgets.

Call me odd but if i was in the market for a gravel bike i would just buy a XC 29er
Not much more weight but more comfort, bump absorption and easier on the neck and wrists.

I've been eyeing these according to chatgpt they go on sale so I'm gonna either wait for these or get one from Costco that appear to currently be on sale right now.

My derailleur was a tad out of adjustment so I took it into a shop for a tune up. They made it worse. :(

YouTube and DIY here I come.
If you bring it by, I'll fix it. Obviously I'm not in a convenient location unless you are headed this way for another reason.

If I'm in your neighbourhood in the near future, I could do it there but I try to avoid the big smoke.

Thanks. However until bikes get electronic control modules, tweaking brakes and gears should be an owner responsibility, like fixing a flat. I used to rebuild my Sturmy Archer three speed hubs every winter.

If I totally screw up I’ll give you a call.

There's wireless gears now!

I've just about had it with presta valves since my stupid floor pump also manages to undo valve cores. I ordered these today Schwalbe Clik Valve - Bicycle Valve Attachment - SV-SCV Conversion Kit (Valves with Pump Head Adapter) : Amazon.ca: Sports & Outdoors
