I Like Dark Wind need to restart it tho.

So much going on Wheel hard to track ...I'm iffy but some is spectacular if derivative - Amazon spent a ton money on it.

Back on a track kick. Some insane real crash footage from the past. 🍿

Might go back to it.
This is pretty good on Prime

Enjoying this (y)
Showing AirBus Beluga including how they build it - crazy plane ....and other neat aircraft like the Solar Impulse that flew around the world none stop on solar. 🍿

Finished bingeing Game of Thrones in bits and pieces due to a marginal source but enough to fill in a few gaps.
Still reading the books tho.

reasonable reviews but like the Anna Taylor. (y) I still like watching the Yoube shorts from Queen's Gambit.
🍿
Good production values but my TV is a bit dim in the daytime and the movie dark. WIll be fine at night. Glad I recalled not dropping AppleTV as want to complete Longg Way Home once a week ( Fridays )
In the wrong thread but .....

It was ok, not great, but entertaining, eventhough the last episode went a bit off the rails with guns blazing etc.

I have to mention this one part as an example of why it wasn't great in the writing dept. The main character is at the hospital with his wife who just had a serious accident. He decides to leave her to race to the library because it's closing within X amount of time so he can look up some extinct animals. He has a mobile phone an could look up this info in an instant. He's a game warden as well. I'm sure his office would have had some info on extinct species... It's minor, and I know it was done as a plot device, but doesn't make sense in today's world.

The existence of cell phones would turn a lot of great old films into 5 minute shorts.

Lol true, I get it to a point, this was taken place in modern times.
Which is exactly why so many SciFi movies, that are set in modern day, usually start with, "I don't have any service." Horror movies as well, come to think of it.

Series like Spooks I loved to see the transform of cell phones over the decade from portable bricks to high tech wafers. I always liked how The Expanse used hand helds.

Blue Heelers series even more so from landlines and pre-fax machine teletypers, no computers etc to a bit more modern ( 2006 ) 13 seasons !!!!

With Apple offering free satellite connection with all its phones that will be a non starter for opening lines.
