TV shows currently watching

Was hyped up to watch the next episode of Andor S2 and was very disappointed that the season is done.

Awesome series and highly recommend.

May just watch Rogue One tonight to continue the story.
tis good

The book by David Quammen call Song of the Dodo is just a brilliant exporation of the Wallace Line named after the co discoverer of evolution. This short series explores the difference between the two great biomes.

gave up on it...quality just not there and I know the story.

Now THIS ....10 seasons....they must be doing something correct. 🍿

Andor isn't just a great Star Wars show, it's a great SciFi drama period. I just finished it on Saturday and will now also be rewatching "Rogue One."

Got caught up on a few things..

White Lotus season 3. Slow burn, decent characters, great location and well written again. Worth a watch. Still not as good as the first and second seasons though.

The Last of Us season 2. Still excellent. The special effects and the action scenes are amazing. This is still part way through though so if you want to binge you’ll need to wait a bit.

forgotten much of it
enjoying it
what a well done series. The settings ere bang on - it's one of those productions I WISH it was true story.
Many fictional stories feel forced ....this has a tangible quality ....it COULD be.

Go to Amazon. Watch episode 3 of the original "Battlestar Galactica", while just dropped there a couple of weeks ago. When Colonel Tigh is rifling through pilots' lockers for spare uniforms and Starbuck and Boomer walk in on him, tell me he doesn't whisper the one word that I think he whispers. How did 15 year old me miss that in the theatres, then is several subsequent rewatches?!

Good reviews ...a British Horror Story, lots of original footage and the people involved - not re-creations.

.....
Just dropped on Netflix

I've given up on anything new for Star Wars. Rogue One, I remember being okish, certainly better then most of the junk put out recently, but not seriously great. I dunno what happened to both Star Wars and Star Trek, it seems the fans of the shows have grown up and now have the reins, and it's all silly play things instead of great story telling. Star Trek thankfully have gotten back on track with SNW and lower decks, not sure if Star Wars is there yet, I feel it's still in a weird place.

The most recent episodic Star Wars (7/8/9) movies were meh, but I quite enjoyed "Rogue 1." "The Mandalorian" was also pretty good, though I was never a big fan of the Boba Fett character. I never really got how the mystique got built up so heavily around him, perhaps because I never got into the "Extended Universe" books?

I had to watch Rogue One right after episode 10 of Andor season 2. It literally lead right into it.
I’d forgotten how good R1 was.

As for the mystique around Boba Fett - I think that’s just it. His character was mysterious. And I dunno, 9 year old me thought he was the coolest looking character in 1980 when Empire hit the big screen.

She was not thrilled at the "exposure" ....she was a very luscious 19 year old.
The only Star Wars I really liked was the first one with her and Harrison Ford doing pointed banter while "adventuring". They nailed the humour. The rest got too serious.

From AppleTV
Fountain of Youth
bit marginal but watched it
Feed was glitchy for reasons unknown. Bit fomulaic but suspect that was intentional. Apple tapping star power on a marginal plot.

Not sure on MurderBot?
I read a book based around a similar theme. Network Effect

reminds me of FireFly

To a rather large degree all are send ups.

Both Apple offerings had good visual quality. Don't know why Fountain was glitching a bit.

Watched a few episodes of “The Last of Us” S2 and oh, boy, did they turn some things around.

I know it related to the video game which I’ve never played so not sure if they follow the game script or not - it all comes as a brand new story to me…

They killed the main attraction papa smurf - ok, I have nothing against lesbian superheroes having strong families and having babies (love is love), but for a tv show I wish our lgbtq+ script producers picked up a more attractive main characters to bring all the straight guys on board… don’t think I can finish this season 2 after first 2.5 episodes…
