2021 Trip Ideas - 5-9 days length from GTA

Rather than do one big trip I think I will do some shorter trips this year. Take 5 weekdays off and use the weekends on either side for a trip up to 9 days long, ideally between 5000-9000km. I'm not planning trips into the US for now, but am optimistic that some amount of inter-provincial travel will be allowed as we get deeper into the summer. Camping or motels is fine and mostly paved roads, but some lighter gravel would also be fine.

Some places I'm thinking about revisiting or going to for the first time include:
  • Gaspe
  • The north shore of the St Lawrence - up to Manic Cinq and all the way out to the end of the road past Natashquan
  • Lac St Jean and and explore the area between Quebec City & Chicoutimi
  • James Bay
  • Cabot Trail
  • North Shore of Lake Superior including Hwy11
  • The area between Thunder Bay and Kenora.
So where would you ride from the GTA with up to 9 days to explore?
 
I was wanting to do the ride to Labrador last yr then run over to goose bay, run the trans lab crossing over to the island and making my way south to catch the ferry back to CB and then make my way back to Ontario

I had a three week plan for this ride, looking to take my time and see the sites

How long would you take to do a trip like this? That seems like an awesome trip.

I was looking at doing this run with no time limit, I get 6wks off for the summer, so i would stop and see the sites. I've only ever flown into NFLD and flown out. I have never seen the sites to be had in that province

Newfoundland is a wonderful province to visit. Very easy to travel by road since there is only 1 highway, which also means if you exit at some place it means however far in you will travel is how much back you will return as they point back to that main highway.
 
JBR twice with side trips to East Main and Wemindji as well as the Trans Taiga
 
A KLusteR of KLRs possibly taking a week to circle Algonquin Park taking in every gravel road along the way (so yes tons of back tracking) with vagrant camping as we go.
 
I'm working 2x2 hope to get out on a few runs this yr

Since I figured that most of these places are cold, I have booked a week off in August and another week off in September. Gaspe is one I think I would do in August from the little I have read about it being pretty cold in June or September.

What a great guy. After touring the place last year we asked him where we might find a place to camp (just over night - gone in the morning).

He said "why not here". Showed us an out of the way spot. (just down from stone henge) Gave us some firewood from his pile and then showed us which bush to get more from when that ran out. We made sure not to miss the donation bucket on the way out.

Peter Camani was Paul's (admin) high school art teacher.
 
I’d like to do the JBR. Rough camp along the way, motel at the end, rough it back. 5 days, see some stuff and drop a line into a few rivers along the way for some fish fry’s. Be nice to have 4 plus riders.

Let’s set some dates. I’m thinking June 30. Bugs will be epic, dry season started. Need to know what speeds are in scope for riders. I have bikes for 120 and 160kmh.
