Any members here that have sleds too?

how much snow is needed until all the trails open?
A lot. If this sticks it will help them pack a base, freeze up standing water, pack creeks etc. Riding around in this snow you would just be hitting rocks, roots and grabbing a ton of dirt every time you hit the gas.

I don’t think we are that close to seeing open trails in southern Ontario. Give it a few weeks.

Hoping its snowing boatloads in Grey Bruce

Got a week off to hang.

Just need to put a primer pump on one and we are good to cruise around avoiding my rock piles of course

Since it was bare earth yesterday near my house, I would say feet of snow are required before they have a solid base and want to open it. We got ~6" overnight, but that is less than half that once you pack it down.

Tons of sleds out the past few days.

Saw one today with flashing green lights visible from front and back. Any ideas? They were stopped at the side of the road, could it be volunteer fire waiting for reinforcements?

It wasn't much, but I made use of what we got. A fresh dumping of snow was a great xmas gift ;)

Tow sled looking for all the new 1200 ski-doos

Borrowed some neighbours sleds for a few laps around a field yesterday. Arctic Cat 7000 and Ski doo 1200 (don't remember which model). Both 137" tracks, ~135 hp, both reasonably stock (cat had clutch and loud exhaust, both had 6" bar risers). Pretty quick. I preferred the suspension and power on the cat. Obviously neither were light. Cat didn't have an oh *&^& cable which isn't ideal if you give kids a ride. I liked the bar risers. Much better for kneeling/standing.

1980 Kawasaki Invader 440 liquid. Of all the toys I've owned this is tied with my DRZ400 as the most exhilerating. (Insurance 89$)

Also have a couple 79 or 80 Chrysler SnoRunners.

Where is all that snow? Can I come to visit....?
He's near the ganny iirc. Tons of sled activity near barrie these days.

After test riding neighbours sleds the other day, another neighbour picked up a zr 7000.

Im already just over 500 kms already .. but kinda stalled with no snow this past few days. Ill make up for it when we head northwards in another few weeks for a 7 day trip .. and put on 3000 k in those 7 days.

Haven't got out yet, not going to tear my sled up on the southern trails

I just got back from a ski trip in british columbia and I don't know if it was just the area I was in (golden, revelstoke, kelowna) but wow they sure love their snowmobiles. Its like all the guys do is drive around with their 80 thousand dollar trucks and 2 sleds sitting up high on the top of their beds its all I saw all day long. F250 seemed more common than f150's out there. Couldn't believe the money in trucks and huge trailers and sleds.
