I've taken a few to the shoulder with gear on.. and without. They make quite the impact with a leather jacket, and with nothing but a shirt--ouch.
As for the gay pride comment: I really don't see why they have to parade around... what someone does in the bedroom should stay in the f**king bedroom, it has NO affect on anything else they do in life. It's not a visible cripple (like race could be considered, or speech pattern, or ugliness, etc), and the pride parade is just like... an excuse for people to run around naked chanting "I'M GAY!"
Back on topic: if I ever saw anyone make any attempt at even touching a rider, I would follow them home and they'll awake the next morning to a destroyed vehicle.
This is also an excellent example as to why all bikes should come with a camera installed from factory; I'm sure a camera would of been able to get their license plate number, etc.
And, hopefully someone driving behind or infront of the car saw it and wrote down his plate number to report it to the cops. But that would require them to actually be decent people; something that seems to be a rarity in Toronto.
to the op: glad you came out unharmed, and I hope someone squirts ground up ghost peppers into that drivers eyes while he's driving in rush hour on the 401 in the middle lane.
