Sitting minding my own business at the Shed when lights flare in my eyes..

...UFO?? nah just heavy Hondas blinged up a bit.

1.5 and 1.8 litre hondas pulled up just across from where I was sitting at The Shed…..sort of like getting a visit from the Empire - complete with iconic helmets and flashing lights.
Damn they were blinding when they pulled in.

including this one with every bit of toys known ……even an air deflector on the mirror and arm rests for the passenger

flip down floor boards

rather intimidating to stare at from ground level - my little Burgman was shrinking - sure looked tiny compared to these.

heading out - big bike for a big guy

ready to cruise ( they were not regulars but we had a good chat )

note the stowaways in the rumble seat looking suspiciously like Ewoks ;)

Yeah - it's certainly not my cuppa - cruising slab and needing a back up gear doesn't appeal......even the litre sports tourers I find too top heavy.

Lady pulled in on one of the BMW belt driven 650s - about as close to a scoot as Beemer has - nicely rigged and gas tank under the seat not up top.
Storage up top right where it's needed.
Now that appeals.....agile and comfie. There is one for sale in Toronto that is very tempting......

An 800 version of the Burgman at the same weight with 20 more horses would be very sweet ride. The CVT only goes so far.
I'd consider an CVT version of that Beemer tho....nice riding position.

she had it rigged with side and top case and looked very in command even tho height challenged.

Y'know with a CVT this would be a very sweet dual everything......

But no way I'm going back to shifting.....roll n go. :D

This is good storage on the CS

:D

It really had this aura about it..

but I'd go with Winnebago for terrestrial version.....probably could haul an Airstream with an 1800.

Lol.Is that gonna be what i'll look like in retirement?

I like 'Wings. A buddy has one and he and his wife have travelled coast to coast twice, plus numerous trips down south. But I can see where it would be overkill for just riding to the local coffee shop or running FOTC over and over.

I like the 'Wings, too, but they were crossed off my short list many years ago when the button count on the dashboard exceeded 30. There's just too many gadgets and toys for my taste, plus that bent knee riding position would kill my arthritic joints in short order. No doubt in my mind, though, that it out-handles, out-brakes and out-accelerates my Road Glide... but it just doesn't have that certain "je ne sais quois" for me.

do a you tibe search iof yellow goldwing on the gap

Took me a minute to decipher that, but, yes, I've seen that video and it's awesome. Proves that it's the rider, not the bike.

I like to refer to the Goldwing as "couch on 2 wheels" but it has its uses once you get into a certain age group but still wanna ride.

I'm happy to be in that age group, and really glad that i still wanna ride......i think!?

Actually you're an aberration as you can/do actually ride

LOL....I enjoyed all the Star Wars refrences.

After they pulled up and blinded you, did you tell Admiral Ozzel there he came out of lightspeed to close to your chair?
