Where's Wingboy?

Beautiful scenery and roads this morning. Had trouble finding gas. Power out everywhere.

Made it to Port Hawkesbury in Cape Breton from Frederickton in heavy rain all day. GPS found lots of motels, but most have gone belly up due to COVID. Sad. I'm at the Hearthstone motel. Nice and cheap. Looks like the Schitts Creek place. Lol.
Review time!
Yamaha Tenerere 1200. Can't think of any negatives. Maybe fuel mileage could be better.
Garmin ZUMO XT. Very good unit. Intuitive almost to a fault. And very waterproof!
Klim Krios helmet. Super light, comfy.
Klim Latitude jacket and pants. Best gear I've ever owned.
Gaerne Oiled Balance boots. 8 yrs old. Guess I can't complain that one leaks now.
Five Waterproof gloves. Waste of money. Ten condoms would have kept my hands drier.
Wingboy. Not as sturdy as he was 20 yrs ago. But some Chapstick and PrepH will work wonders.

Nice to hear you made it out to such a beautiful part of the country.
Do you ever do the plastic grocery bag in a leaky boot thing to at least keep your socks dry?
Last year I bought the Klim Latitude set and completely agree - wish I could have afforded it earlier.
What kind of range are you getting off a full tank?

Safe travels!

I will be doing the plastic bag thing tomorrow. Supposed to rain all day. Meh.
Tenere has a 23l tank. When it shows 1/4 tank i fill up and usually put 15l in. I guess I'm good for about 400+ km.

Agree about the XT. It's a great unit.
Agree about the Latitude jacket. Love mine.
And yea, Five gloves are not great. Tried them once. That was enough.
I leave for the east coast 3 weeks from today. I'll be following your posts.
Ride safe.

W/o wanting to derail the thread - Is the Latitude jacket waterproof? I'm in the market for a new jacket

Five Waterproof gloves. Waste of money. Ten condoms would have kept my hands drier.
That's a bummer, I was eyeballing their heated gloves

Packed it in early this afternoon. Can't see 100m at higher elevations, and had a couple of tourists in my lane with no lights on. Got an awesome deal at the Glenhorme Beach Resort. Quiet nite.

Fantastic day of tight twisty roads and scenery with perfect weather. I'm in Amherst NB headed for Gaspe.

Somewhere on the East side of the map I think. Found him!
iu

Gotta sell my bike, so I can get out for a good romp soon.

You going over to the rock?
I was contemplating that. Not really interested tho. And i need to get new boots. One is leaking badly. I'm sure i would find rain there.

Very long day today. Super high winds coming off the water.Gps quit when it shouldn't have. Fixed easy, but still a pia. Scenery is fabulous. Thanks @MacDoc for the Gaspe tip some time ago.
