We had friends that owned a Golden retriever and it seemed to be going off mentally. The owner was an elderly lady that was showing her Alzheimer condition more openly.
I wondered if the dog was reacting to the inconsistencies of the owner.
We just put our ten yr old boxer / dingo cross down this morning . She developed Cushings disease about a month ago , looks like the symptoms have been there awhile and we just didn’t really see it , then she had a stroke a few days ago and there was no coming back from that . It’s a hard day over here .

Carolina dingo is a Native American breed from the southern US . It’s been around for a couple hundred yrs but not in the Australian dingo sense . They have an odd black spot on the back of their tongue . We adopted this dog at one yr old in Georgia , the DNA test my wife had run said Boxer/blue tick hound/Carolina Dingo . Odd mix but those southern Americans , well … and she did have the unique black tongue spot .
