Where are the Toronto Jays fans

I think it's probably a much better game for me viewed live.

True for most sports, but especially for me with baseball. I love heading down to see the Hamilton Cardinals play in the Intercounty Baseball League, around since 1919. Perfect for a muggy summer night, watching the sun set with a beer in one hand and a hot dog in the other. Makes the slog of going to see the Jays seem ridiculous.

That said, my father-in-law is a lifelong baseball obsessive and former coach. He understands the pitcher/batter dynamic better than anyone I know, which is really where the details in baseball matter most. I learn something about the game every time I watch with him...

Do you remember the Hamilton Mavericks playing at Bernie Arbour?
I suited up for them, and a couple games with the Cardinals.......(early 70's).
I don't, well before my time in Hamilton unfortunately. I'm always impressed by the quality of play, though. It's obviously a step (or two) down from the majors, but there's lots of guys who have played in the show mixed in. Pretty much every game you're guaranteed to see a great play of some sort.

Don't know if they have any MLB affiliation these days, but we had it with the Pirates.

Not that I'm aware of. The IBL seems to now mostly be a spot for local kids that didn't quite make it, prospects who've fallen out of the system, and a few guys from Latin America who will play for what I have to assume are pretty tiny salaries.

There's also a few guys like Dalton Pompey, who played for Guelph for a few years after losing his spot with the Jays...

I was considering a wagon/tv/generator as I followwd kids around but weather is making that look less likely.
Damn. I didn't think of that. Well, I take the kids out every year, and the wife hands out the candy. If I leave at 7pm, I can be home by 7:30-7:45. Plenty of time. The wife can handle the door as usual.
You made me panic for a moment there.
BUT, if they lose and have to play Saturday, that's an issue. My wife and I are leaving the kid with Nana and Papa, and having a date night Saturday night. I'm not sure she'd agree to watch a Jays game. I may need to play it on my phone with an ear bud in my ear if it comes to that. :ROFLMAO:

Buy tickets, and take her to game 7.......should only cost $15-40K!

People near me way up in the 500 level (above top of Jumbotron) at the watch party looked up prices for Game 6. The seats were in the ballpark of $2k each. Screw that.

I was down to the raptors game last night, at 20:00 the place half emptied out, most left i think to go watch the ball game
