What mods are you planning to do over the winter?

These are my three winter projects:
  • New splines from Bruno's for the final drive and drive shaft.
  • Install an auxiliary fusebox and rewire the non-OEM accessories I've added to the bike over the years.
  • New rear shock

I may take the time to add an electrical socket system, mounted in my luggage and on the bar clamp. I've already done everything else that I want to (windscreen, luggage, suspension).

Planning on doing some winter mods tonight possibly...even when I'm planning to store the bike tomorrow.

Going to plasti-dip rear sets black, rear tail black...hopefully it'll make my cbr more unique :D

- Spiegler SS lines
- M4 GP slip-on exhaust
- remove rear footpegs/brackets
- rear seat cowl

Wasn't planning to do anything on my GS, but then I sold it and bought a 2008GSXR750, and it needs a few things. Looking to put a new exhaust on it as PO just had a lil pipe coming out of it, which sounds awesome, but it's a lil too loud for living next to people with young kids. Also need to put new tires on it (not really a project), an alarm system, and possibly look into heated grips.

What kind of exhaust are you thinking of putting on?...

me too.. I hacked up a socket for my ride to Ottawa earlier this year the night before the ride and having the iphone on charge for the trip was great. Want to make a more permanent/tidy solution along with some side lights too.

Helping my nephew restore my first ever bike (FZ600), retired after a crash 10 years ago, now handed down to a new generation. Saving pennies for a new bike...more of a wallet mod that one!

You forgot Cat13...wouldn't want to offend any of the mods;)
hmmmm... what mods am i planning to do over the winter ?

r1Girl, Isis, and cutekill. cuz they have the sexy names. Hopefully they'd like a wee bit of Scotland in them.

I've had good luck with these guys, with my last couple of online purchases, so I'll likely buy the hardware from them:

last time I bought a $17 plug from them, the shipping cost me $US20 ! :(
That was this time last year.
Maybe their shipping prices have changed...

No, that's likely about right. I might also buy one of the universal top box brake light kits, for a little over $100.00, which would still only cost $20.00 to ship. You never buy something small, from the US.

Have a look at this spoiler LED brake light

I bought and installed one on my top box. It has worked out very well and cost a reasonable $35 plus shipping. Very satisfied with the product. My installation instructions are at this URL:

Very interesting. If I still had my K75RT, with its little square top box, I'd likely go that route. As it is I'll likely get one of the AdMore generic case light kits and adapt it to fit behind the reflector, on my Givi E340 top box.
