Cheap bastards. The expensive parts will wear away quickly without shoes. If I had to buy some anyway, I would get plastic onesI would pick up a set of these from Honda, I think they use to be included but not anymore.
Get that thing coated in protectants before it's first use.More snow? No problem.

I have those too but I added the ones on the sides. Stops the side of the auger housing from scraping on the ground on uneven surfaces, just added protection.I might get a pair. It already has heavy duty sliders on the back.

Track is generally slower moving than wheels but better uphill and in deep snow.Out of curiosity,
What is easier to handle? A tracked blower or one on wheels?
My craftsman has wheels and I can whip that thing around fairly easy. But I can see the benefit of tracks as it probably deals better with bigger/heavier snow.
The tracks are controlled individually. Power steering.Out of curiosity,

This one is very fast.Track is generally slower moving than wheels but better uphill and in deep snow.
Honda use to make a wheeled version of my snowblower and if you looked at the specs the wheeled version with chains was significantly faster. Another thing I always do is put it in the raised position when I pull it into my garage so that the the lower part of the housing and scraper aren’t sitting in a puddle of melted snow and can drip dry, that’s where they tend to rust and disintegrate. My last 35 year old Honda snowblower completely rusted there and there was nothing left to bolt the scraper to. I gave it to my neighbor to use on his gravel driveway about 5 years ago and it’s still going strong. This one is very fast.
Looks like something from a Mad Max movie.I got my new blower a couple weeks weeks ago very impressed so far.![]()

A very good friend has two of them. One for snow removal, the other one broke when he tried to push a car into his auto repair shop with it. So now it's just a car pusher.
