I have those too but I added the ones on the sides. Stops the side of the auger housing from scraping on the ground on uneven surfaces, just added protection.

Out of curiosity,
What is easier to handle? A tracked blower or one on wheels?

My craftsman has wheels and I can whip that thing around fairly easy. But I can see the benefit of tracks as it probably deals better with bigger/heavier snow.

Track is generally slower moving than wheels but better uphill and in deep snow.

The tracks are controlled individually. Power steering.
