Weather

Now you know why I never have to wear rain gear here but get wet often...most times I'm dry by the time I get home.
Sweet riding weather here on the weekend and I'm cleared by doc.

So Ontario is the new tropics. Amazing

Nadda in TO, was some sprinkles last night but didn't stick around.

We got a dusting maybe 2 inches but not much.

Got nothing in Markham.

Had to reschedule my drive to Timmins, they got 60cm and roads closed. My son said he had to ride his sled to work.

Next week I'll be cold, FIFO into a week of
week of working in unheated spaces.

We're similar to you. Drifts in driveway about knee deep.
Allliston is in a strange spot where so many weather systems go around us. Snow and rain. We sit in what was once a lake. Low land with escarpment to our west.

Just back from Montreal. The missus says we had a lot of high winds and a dusting of snow. Lake Erie is always doing something interesting. Apparently to the west, it’s shallow and low and towards Niagara, the water levels are high as well as the swells.

It’s a sit by the fireplace and sip some coffee until I switch to whisky kind of day. Might just pour some whisky in the coffee and enjoy until nap time. The new pup is using up every once of energy WE have. lol

I almost moved to that area (Cookstown) earlier this year but lost out on 2 bids.

On days like today I wonder if it's worth it. What's it like out there today?

Believe it or not, I've seen Cookstown get a foot of snow and Alliston get nothing. I can still see my lawn today.

There is no universal answer to that question. I enjoy more days of fun driving. I also have flexibility as to where and when I work most of the time. If you had to commute south everyday, I'd be questioning your sanity. That's far more due to traffic/crashes than weather (although weather adds to the pain).

I would be into the northern Nort York area but only for approx 4 years when I then retire ... it's just somedays in Brampton, I'm at my wits end.

And when you're on 2 wheels it gets even more important to get away from it.
