So Ontario is the new tropics. AmazingNow you know why I never have to wear rain gear here but get wet often...most times I'm dry by the time I get home.
Sweet riding weather here on the weekend and I'm cleared by doc.

Allliston is in a strange spot where so many weather systems go around us. Snow and rain. We sit in what was once a lake. Low land with escarpment to our west. We're similar to you. Drifts in driveway about knee deep.
I almost moved to that area (Cookstown) earlier this year but lost out on 2 bids.Allliston is in a strange spot where so many weather systems go around us. Snow and rain. We sit in what was once a lake. Low land with escarpment to our west.
Believe it or not, I've seen Cookstown get a foot of snow and Alliston get nothing. I can still see my lawn today.I almost moved to that area (Cookstown) earlier this year but lost out on 2 bids.
On days like today I wonder if it's worth it. What's it like out there today?
There is no universal answer to that question. I enjoy more days of fun driving. I also have flexibility as to where and when I work most of the time. If you had to commute south everyday, I'd be questioning your sanity. That's far more due to traffic/crashes than weather (although weather adds to the pain). On days like today I wonder if it's worth it. What's it like out there today?
I would be into the northern Nort York area but only for approx 4 years when I then retire ... it's just somedays in Brampton, I'm at my wits end.If you had to commute south everyday, I'd be questioning your sanity. I consider myself very fortunate to live where we do. 20 min to River Road. Zig zag back and forth over the escarpment. And when you're on 2 wheels it gets even more important to get away from it.
