Finished up the new Grand Tour series. I enjoy the Throttle House YT reviews so I'm familiar with the main two guys but Francis isn't a good fit imo. He's supposed to be the geeky awkward comedy role guy but I just find him awkward and annoying. The train fun-facts can leave with him. Was an enjoyable first season all-in-all though.

Just started Mayor of Kingstown and it's quite good.

Haven't watched yet, but I enjoy the Throttle House channel, so will give it a shot. I'm in the minority, I know, but I was long done with the Clarkson/Hammond/May trio. The staged nature of it all started to feel a bit much.

I actually really liked the rebooted Top Gear once they settled on the McGuiness/Flintoff/Harris host combo, but it got shut down after Flintoff nearly died in a crash and was left permanently scarred. I guess not that staged, then...

Lioness S3 - was good (I feel next season will be full on action)

Getting into Lanterns now, bit slowish, but it's HBO, usually they got this.

Ran out of steam on my "Heroes" rewatch in mid season 3. Just can't do it.

On the other hand I blew through "WandaVision" and am almost done "Agatha All Along", in prep for "VisionQuest."

Lioness S3 - was good (I feel next season will be full on action)

Getting into Lanterns now, bit slowish, but it's HBO, usually they got this.

PSA Chad Powers S2 is out.

Lioness was better than I expected...ofcourse, always a pleasure seeing Genesisonscreen lol.

Lanterns S1 was pretty good - just wish they had more action.

Enjoyed Chad Powers S1 - S2 on my watch list now!

If you like drama, may I recommend:

Just started Mobland with Tom Hardy, Piers Brosnan and Helen Mirren. Looks like a well made gangster series about two warring crime families in London. Hardy has the “quiet menace” thing dialled in.

The second season of Scrublands is a continuation of the first season tho different town.

Lead woman is soooo attractive…

those cheekbones 🫪
.very photogenic while the main lead is also appealing.
So good cast plus continuity tho in a different town…

more background covered for the lead as a teen …
only two seasons so far.....but a third is in progress

mostly enjoying it tho bit dismal view of human nature Pugh carries it - remarkable age transformation
Steinbeck has such a dark streak tho I generally love his prose …The Rievers …both in book and movie …the description of the horse race was one of best bits of prose I’ve every read and the filming was incredible.
might re-read it.

Slow Horses is good but this is the first time it’s veering away from the story line in the books. It’s also the first series done without the regular showrunner and I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Reviews are generally good but the Guardian panned it because of this.
