Do not watch the series finale of the Boys….

Horribly bad. I don’t see how this can’t be voted one of the worst endings (but I haven’t seen GoT so…)

Do not watch.

You have been warned.

I want 9hrs of my life back with the final season. But 3x for the finale.

I work with a kid who got a small part in this show (face in the crowd) - so I will have to watch it, and he said the whole show is GREAT! I will take his word for it LOL

On the other hand I enjoyed it, though felt it was a rather predictable set of outcomes.

Wrapped up Survivor 50 and was satisfying.
51 coming up in the fall.🍿

This now

Slow burn but well crafted and lots of twists but based on actual events.
The actors very well known in British TV and film.

Lot of social commentary on the UK....started Season 2 and need a change of pace for something lighter. Will return to it

Confirmed my belief that all mountain climbers are essentially nuts.
But this cleared up some of the questions I had about one of the horror climbing stories I read.
Husband and wife were coming down K2 from a successful summit ( 1 in four summiting K2 die)
They debated who would lead down the fixed ropes and her husband and another were ahead of her ....they felt a rumbling...and the rope ended suddenly just past her hand.
It's a terrific documentary...I think the book I read was simply called K2

Perhaps the most emotional docu and book about climbing is Into thin Air by Krakauer.
Both highly recommended..the stories out if are astonishing and heartbreaking.

Trying again to get the complete 5 season run watched - had trouble with the speakers clipping but okay now
forgotten how dark this gets....
Might have solved my clipping problem by turning DTS on.

Season 5 getting pretty soapy - so was S4. I'll hang in. Season 5 perhaps better than 4 IMNSHO and reasonably tied up but a bit weary of it.

I have been put off beef eating tho as much as I love it....it's just horridly destructive on the biome....not worth supporting.
Kangaroo, chicken, pork, fish will suffice for me.

I like Costner as docu maker....always learn stuff. Where Yellowstone series is over the top fiction tho well told...his docus stick to the history.
...
This is superb if you can find it
Stan is well worth the modest monthly
There is a kindred spirit in Muir that was so far ahead of his times.
His tales are fantastic and often hilarious. His books are generally free and his impact incredible on American Parks and service

He is famous all over the world …an early version of Attenborough

It's neat seeing the landscapes as we've been to both parks a couple of times....even in November.
Going around the hairpin on the on the way to Glacier Point is embedded in my brain ...partner was not so happy being on the outside of the curve which has no guardrail and thousands of feet of empty air below.
Yellowstone is astounding ...so was Muir...my photo

Both parks well worth the effort

Enjoyable docu

nother one...talk about born to drive
very enjoyable and remarkable he can compete in so many types of top tier racing

Partner is a fan ...we watched together tonight
Very Australian in some ways tho American lead.
Terrific Jim Henson puppetry that is astounding in a live action scifi series…campy but that’s okay

I've watched "Farscape" and "the Peacekeeper Wars" all the way through perhaps 6 times. Better every time.

I watched the original Law and Order for years then lost track after Jill Hennesy left.
There others I really like, Sam Waterhouse who were outstanding. Liked Ice T in the role as well.

20+ Seasons for the Special Victims spin off.
Somewhat uneven but relatable actors....that they are not based on actual events is a bit of a negative given all of the terrific real life docus about. There is always something intangible to real events that is lacking in fictional writing. A few episodes leaves a foul taste about human nature and perhaps US child care system.

It's okay as a go to. The cast makes it work including guest stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

If you haven't yet watched "Law & Order: Criminal Intent Toronto", give it a go. Plenty of local Toronto landmarks and despite them always saying "not based on actual events" most of the stories are at least inspired by actual events, just as with the original.

Trivia: Jill Hennessy is a Kitchener/Waterloo girl. She also has an identical twin sister Jacqueline. Yes, Jack and Jill Hennessy. Also, in the last appearance of Jill Hennessy's character Claire Kincaid, the character was played by Jacqueline, not Jill.
